In the hinterland of the "Kingdom of Heavenly Palace", there is a lake that appears impressively in front of the eyes of the world. It is located in Longquanyi District, Chengdu, located in the western foothills of Longquan Mountain, known as "sunrise Dong'an" known as the best realm - Dong'an Lake.

During the Northern Song Dynasty, Longquanyi did not have Dong'an Lake. The Stagecoach River, which flows down from Longquan Mountain, forms a small lake in the low-lying area around Shufang Village, which changes with the seasons, sometimes large, sometimes small, sometimes disappearing. When the painter Gao Keming stayed here, he stood by the lake facing the morning sun, only to see the mountains like dai, near the water with smoke, and he liked this place. Because of the natural scenery such as Longquan Mountain and Stagecoach River, he not only believes that this is the "sunrise Dong'an Resort", but also believes that this is the hometown of Xishan Dong'an. Thinking that there were golden soldiers in the north, he hoped that the Northern Song Dynasty would be peaceful. Later, there was the place name Dong'an. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was once named Ping'an Township.

Today, the industrious and wise sons and daughters of Chengdu have created a Dong'an Lake Ecological Park here, embellishing the "Kingdom of Heavenly Palace" more beautiful and moving!

Dong'an Lake Ecological Park is adjacent to the main venue of the 31st Summer Universiade, it focuses on the ecological construction goal of "respecting nature, conforming to nature, protecting nature, adapting to local conditions, and being scientific and reasonable", adheres to the ecological construction goal of "storing ponds into lakes, leaving trees into forests, gathering mountains according to the situation, and borrowing canals to divert water", with Yi culture as the main line, connecting linpan culture, bamboo culture, hibiscus culture, peach blossom culture and other elements, and striving to create a beautiful natural landscape as the base, diversified cultural elements as the connotation, An open urban eco-park featuring a wealth of leisure activities. The park project, which started construction in September 2019 and was officially unveiled in the spring of 2021, is an open urban ecological park with scenery in all seasons and clear water and lakes.

The World University Games is hosted by the International University Sports Federation and is limited to university students and university students who have graduated for no more than two years (age limit is 17 to 28 years old). It was founded in 1959 as the International University Games, known as the "Little Olympic Games". As of March 2009, the Universiade has been held for 25 years. On August 7, 2011, the 26th Summer Universiade was held in Shenzhen. The 31st Summer Universiade was originally scheduled to be held in Chengdu from 18 to 29 August 2021.

In order to enhance the taste of Chengdu's streets, the Chengdu Municipal People's Government has beautified many old houses. Those old mansions that have endured decades of wind, frost, rain and snow have now turned into the appearance of "small western-style buildings"!

Who knows, there are unpredictable storms in the sky. Due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the 31st Summer Universiade, which was originally scheduled to be held in Chengdu, was postponed to June 26 to July 7, 2022. College students, sports enthusiasts, and Chengdu citizens who have been waiting for many days have to feel a little lost.

On the morning of September 25, 2021, the opening ceremony of the Fifth Workers' Games of Sichuan Provincial Government Departments was held in Dong'an Lake Sports Park. With the theme of "Celebrating the Centenary, Welcoming the Great Luck, Walking in Front, and Setting an Example", the Games are divided into two groups: the on-the-job staff group and the elderly group, and 13 sports such as air volleyball, badminton, table tennis, tennis, football, broadcast gymnastics, Go, chess, bridge, tai chi (sword), and croquet are set up. More than 50,000 cadres and workers from 121 provincial departments (units) will participate in various competitions and mass sports activities such as walking, and the Games will last until the end of December this year.
