Beijing Opera "Guangming Xing" is a new drama produced by Beijing Performing Arts Group and created by Beijing QuQu Troupe, which premiered at the end of last year and received wide acclaim. The story of the drama is set in Peiping from late 1948 to early 1949, focusing on the historical events of Mr. He Siyuan, with the help and support of outstanding underground members of the Communist Party of China, at this critical moment, which opened an important door for the final peaceful liberation of Peiping. "Bright Walk" is a positive and inspiring erhu solo composed by Mr. Liu Tianhua in the 1930s, named after it to commemorate and praise the heroes who fought for the cause of national liberation.

In the past, most of the Beijing opera repertoire was mainly to show the life stories of the people of Beijing, or the court drama of the Qing Dynasty, but there were few works depicting major revolutionary historical events. In addition to He Siyuan and He Luli's father and daughter, there are also outstanding underground party members such as Wang Hanbin, Cui Yueli, and Fu Dongju; patriotic generals and progressives such as Zhang Zizhong and Liu Hou; cultural celebrities and social activists such as Xu Beihong and Kang Tongbi, and there are no fictional characters in the play. Therefore, this play has great significance for the breakthrough and expansion of the repertoire of Beijing Opera, and the character shaping needs to be close to the character image in order to appear real and credible. The performance highlights the realist style, gives full play to the advantages of realistic and freehand in creation, enriches the traditional song cards, and interprets the past of Beijing with a strong Beijing flavor.

It is reported that the play will meet with the audience at the Tianqiao Art Center on the night of July 20 and 21 as one of the special performances of the "Art Party Class" of the Party History and Culture Boutique Class in Xicheng District. (End)
