An unprecedented upsurge of "prosperous cultivation" has been set off in various places
Flourishing Ceremony. Since entering the 21st century, with the sustained development of China's economy and society, especially after the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Further Strengthening the Protection of Ancient Books" in early 2007, the "Chinese Ancient Books Protection Plan" has been officially implemented, and the national census and registration of ancient books has been carried out as one of the important tasks. In addition, since 2012, the national census of movable cultural relics has also been carried out, and the "family foundation" of historical documents across the country has gradually become clear, which has set off a new round of local literature compilation and publication work on an unprecedented scale and intensity.
According to incomplete statistics, in the past ten years, at least 40 local literature collation projects have been launched. In addition to the compilation and publication of local literature at the provincial level, some sub-provincial cities and even prefecture-level cities with relatively developed economy and culture are also organizing the compilation and publication of local local literature, represented by the "Guangzhou Dadian" in Guangzhou, Guangdong, the "Jinling Quanshu" in Nanjing, Jiangsu, the "Hangzhou Quanshu" in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and the Quanzhou Bunko in Quanzhou, Fujian.
Scholars believe that the above local literature compilation, collation, protection and publication projects have played an irreplaceable role in preserving local documents, continuing local cultural context, promoting local culture, highlighting local characteristics, disseminating local image, and promoting the formation of local studies.
With the help of large-scale local literature compilation and publication projects, some localities have also set up relevant collation research institutions, such as the International Institute of Chang'an Studies of Shaanxi Normal University, the Huixue Research Center of Anhui University, the Zhejiang Yue Culture Research Center (Yue Culture Research Institute of Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences), the Zhejiang Studies Research Institute of Zhejiang Normal University, and the Hangzhou International Urban Studies Research Center (Hangzhou Research Institute). The Guangzhou Dadian Research Center is among them.

Focus on Guangdong and Guangzhou
Lingnan humanities are gathered and rich historical documents are accumulated
Guangdong has a long history, a collection of humanities, and famous masterpieces from generations, accumulating rich local literature. At the time of the Ming and Qing dynasties, Qu Dajun, one of the "Three Great Masters of Lingnan", said: "Guangdong's Wen Shi Wei Tuo" "From the Han Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, the generations of famous Qing and great dukes, the cicadas of the mellow Confucians, the manipulation of The Dyeing Han, and many books" "The beginning was in the Han Dynasty, the blazing in the Tang dynasty was in the Song Dynasty, and the Ming dynasty was illuminated in the four directions."
Tracing the large-scale collation of Guangdong literature should begin in the Ming Dynasty. Zhang Yibang, then deputy envoy of Guangdong Tixue, compiled the Lingnan Literature. This was followed by the "Lingnan Literature Track Fan Supplement" issued by Yang Qulai, the seventh year of the Ming Dynasty (1627), the Guangdong Punishment Bureau. In the Qing Dynasty, Qu Dajun's "Guangdong Anthology" and "Guangdong Anthology", Luo Xuepeng's "Guangdong Literature", Wu Lanxiu's "Lingnan Series", Huang Deng's "Selected Poems of the Five Dynasties of Lingnan", Wen Runeng's "Guangdong Wenhai" and "Guangdong Poetry Sea", Chen Zaiqian's "Lingnan Wenzheng", Wu Daorong's "Guangdong Wenzheng", Chen Lanzhi's "Lingnan Style and Elegance", etc., have made outstanding contributions to the collection and preservation of local literature in Guangdong.
As the capital of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou is the birthplace of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, the birthplace of China's modern democratic revolution, and the cultural center of Lingnan. Since the founding of the city in the 33rd year of Qin Shi Huang (214 BC), it has a long history of more than 2200 years, and since the Ming and Qing dynasties, it has formed a unique Lingnan culture under the multiple influences of Central Plains culture, Baiyue culture and overseas culture. A large number of precious local historical documents produced during this period have become the carriers for recording the development of Guangzhou and witnessing the development process of Guangzhou.

Carry the historical mission
The second phase of the Guangzhou Canon is included in the "13th Five-Year Plan" project
In order to inherit and continue the historical context, systematically collect, sort out and rescue and protect Guangzhou literature and classics, and disseminate Guangzhou history and culture, under the planning and organization of the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Department of Culture of Guangdong Province, as early as 2005, Guangzhou City took the lead in experimenting and launched the compilation of the "Guangzhou Dadian" (hereinafter referred to as the "Dadian"). "Dadian" was listed as a key cultural project in guangzhou during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, and in 2007 it was rated as a support project by the National Leading Group for the Collation and Publication planning of ancient books, and in 2013, the "Guangzhou Dadian Congbu" was first published and won the first Nanyue Publishing Award.
After ten years of efforts, with the support of 75 domestic and foreign bibliophiles and private bibliophiles represented by the Guangdong Provincial Zhongshan Library, the Library of Sun Yat-sen University, the National Library and the Shanghai Library, in April 2015, the first issue of the "Great Classic" was photocopied and published, and 4,064 kinds of ancient books and documents (with a total word count of about 300 million) within the jurisdiction of Guangzhou Prefecture in the early Qing Dynasty before 1911 were included. The goal of finishing and regenerative conservation. The Guangzhou Dadian Research Center was established in the same year, and its office is located in the Guangzhou Library in the city CBD. According to the person in charge of the center, in addition to promoting the continuation and expansion of the literature in the first phase of the "Great Classic", its main task is to sort out and compile and publish the literature in Guangdong (including Hainan and Guangxi Qinzhou and Lianzhou areas) during the Republic of China period from 1912 to 1949.
The publication of the "Dadian" had an important impact on the whole country, and Zhou Heping, then vice minister of culture, commented on the "Dadian": "The large-scale literature series compiled by the local government with huge funds and the local cultural department is the first in the country. The Guangzhou Canon has set a good example and is worth advocating. ”
At present, the compilation and publication of the second phase of the Guangzhou Canon (Republic of China) has been included in the major topics of the "13th Five-Year Plan" for the development of philosophy and social sciences in Guangzhou in 2017. With the support of the Republic of China Document Protection Center, the "Compilation of Guangdong Literature in the First Period of Kuomintang-Communist Cooperation", which is regarded as a breakthrough in the compilation and publication of the second phase of the "Great Classic", was included in the 2017 Republic of China Literature Protection Support Project.
Since 2013, the Publicity Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee has set up a special fund for the "Guangzhou Dadian" and the guangzhou historical and cultural research projects, encouraging academics at home and abroad to make full use of the rich literature resources of the dadian to carry out research in related fields and actively explore the historical and cultural value of the dadian. The Guangzhou Dadian Research Center is also continuing to promote the follow-up compilation of the "Dadian", of which the "General Catalogue" was completed in 2017, the "Outline" is about to be published, the "Dadian" song literature is expected to be published in 2019, the "Shuzhi" writing task agreement is signed and some of the manuscripts have begun to be received, the compilation of the second phase of the "Dadian" (Republic of China) has been started, and the "Dadian" network service platform has been opened as scheduled. The first series of the "Guangzhou Dadian Research" collection was published by the Social Science Literature Publishing House in August this year, and will be launched every six months in the future.

More than 20 provincial experts
Attended the "Seminar on Local Literature Conservation and Collation and Publication"
The "Seminar on Local Literature Protection and Collation and Publication" was specifically organized by the Guangzhou Dadian Research Center and the National Library Press for one and a half days, with participants from more than 20 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) across the country, and more than 60 papers had been submitted by the deadline.
Only Chu has material, Yu Si is prosperous. Taking Mr. Yanghai Qinglao, who was the oldest and 80 years older attending this seminar, as an example, he served as the director of the Hubei Provincial Library Office, the editor-in-chief of the "Library and Information Forum" magazine, the editorial board of the "Continuation of the Four Libraries", the standing editorial board of the "General Catalogue of Chinese Ancient Books", and the deputy editor-in-chief of the Ming and Qing Literature Dictionary of the "Zhonghua Dadian", and the "General Catalogue of Existing Works in Hubei" that condensed his decades of painstaking efforts was published the year before, laying the foundation for the compilation and determination of the "Literature Compilation" ancient book part of the "Jingchu Library" and the "Fang Zhi Compilation" bibliography.
"Scholars of literature and history should act as think tanks, that is, they should give full play to their own strengths, seriously sort out and excavate local literature, and provide support for the construction of local culture, rather than changing what they have learned and sharpening their heads to engage in so-called fashionable things." Zhan Furui, former secretary of the party committee and executive deputy director of the National Library, pointed out that in recent years, there are two aspects of deep thinking in universities, research institutions and the government: on the one hand, the government hopes that universities and research institutions will become the government's think tanks to provide intellectual support for local socio-economic and cultural development; on the other hand, universities and research institutions are also trying to become think tanks supported by the government.
The organizer of the seminar on the protection and collation of local literature revealed that from the articles submitted to the conference, there are both articles on the experience of local literature compilation and collation, as well as professional papers on the basis of local literature to carry out local cultural research, both the overall discussion at the macro level and the in-depth study of micro cases. ”
