According to the trial of the Shanwei Intermediate People's Court, the 10 defendants were all involved in a huge number of drugs, and the social harm was serious. Among them, between September and October 2012, defendant Fan Shuixian purchased 75 tons of ephedra, a raw material for drug production, for refining ephedrine, and later sold 2 barrels of ephedrine extracted at a price of about 50 kilograms at a price of RMB1.1 million per barrel, and exchanged 2 barrels of ephedrine with others for 16.4 kilograms of methamphetamine (methamphetamine).
On October 31, 2012, the public security organs seized 16.4 kg of finished methamphetamine, 33.2 kg of semi-finished products, 14.26 kg of finished ephedrine, 20 tons of ephedra, 16.7784 kg of drugs containing ephedrine and 2370.92 kg of liquid at their drug production sites. At the same time, 2 Lei Mingdeng shotguns, 3 self-made imitation "June Fourth" pistols with gun performance, 53 rounds of standard No. 12 shotguns with ammunition performance, and 73 rounds of standard "June Fourth" bullets were also seized.

Chen Jinjun, Fan Zhongchao, Hong Liu, and Huang Wenze were convicted of drug manufacturing and sentenced to death and deprived of their political rights for life;
Cai Chugang was convicted of the crime of manufacturing drugs and harboring drugs, and was sentenced to death and deprived of political rights for life;
Wu Shenggeng was convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to death and deprived of political rights for life;
Li Zhenyu and Zhuang Chengfa were convicted of transporting drugs and sentenced to death and deprived of their political rights for life.
