More than 10 years ago, several women claimed to have had an affair with Tiger Woods, a married professional golfer who was discredited overnight.
Recently, Rachel, 45, spoke to Billy Bush about the scandal that brought her into the spotlight.
"I've been silent for over 10 years," she said. But I think it is necessary for me to make a clarification.
"Because over the years, people don't understand the truth, and many people are denigrating me."
Rachel continued: "I need to break the shackles and be able to speak up for myself. ”
Rachel is credited as the first heroine of that stealing scandal in 2009, and in a new documentary shot by HBO, she will tell everything about Tiger Woods.
She said it was time to "clarify the situation at the time" because she didn't think "some point could decide your life."
Rachel said: "I don't want to be treated like a 'little three', I don't want to be said to be destroying other people's families, I am not that kind of person.
"I'm 45 now, and I made a mistake ten years ago... I didn't push anyone down the stairs, I didn't murder anyone.
"I made mistakes, everyone made mistakes."
Rachel, who is the nightclub manager, added: "Because of this, for the last 10 years, I've lived like hell...
"I wasn't a junior, I was serious. I made the wrong decision, I regret it, and I find it hard to talk about.
"I need to apologize to two people, not the whole world."
Rachel said she hopes that by appearing in the high-profile documentary, she will be able to change some of the perceptions of her.
"I just hope that now that people know me, they might believe me a little more," she said.
"I'm not a bad person and hopefully they'll give me a chance to clarify this time."
When the scandal came to light, Tiger Woods' wife was Irene Nord Green, and the two had two children.
Although Woods and Irene divorced in 2010 (the settlement fee is said to be as high as $100 million), Woods' career was also devastated.
In 2019, at the age of 41, Erin married former NFL athlete Jordan Cameron, and the two had a son.
Currently, Woods' current girlfriend is Erica Herman.
The aforementioned HBO documentary will be released in two episodes on the 10th and 17th of this month.
