Trace the red memory, look for the footprints of the revolutionary ancestors
What is the "Red Gene"? The red gene is the link of the Chinese national spirit and the core of the Chinese national spirit. The red gene condenses the strength, leads the future, preserves history, travels through time and space, and becomes a temple that generations of Chinese yearn for and sacred in their hearts. Red culture is a high degree of integration of the tenacious spirit of the Communist Party of China in the historical process of safeguarding national interests and people's interests, daring to shed blood, dare to sacrifice and dare to struggle. Inheriting the red culture and carrying forward the red spirit is of practical significance to the ideological construction of the party and the people and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The sites of our Hongyuan Practice Team are Zhanjiang Museum, Cunjinqiao Park, Chikan District, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, and Ganlin Village, Mazhang District, Zhanjiang City. Zhanjiang Museum is the patriotic base of Guangdong Province, has a history of 40 years, the exhibition gives us the history and culture of China, presenting the history of the Zhanjiang people's indomitable spirit against foreign aggression and oppression. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, in every period of revolutionary war, the people of Ganlin Village are not afraid of bloodshed and sacrifice, unswervingly carry out heroic struggle against the enemy, make due contributions to the people's liberation cause, and have a glorious revolutionary history.

Then the Zhanjiang Museum, built in 1960, is located in the Cunjinqiao Park and is a three-story tall, Su-style building. The first thing that catches the eye are the three forts placed next to the gate, which were used by revolutionary martyrs in the War of Resistance Against France. After the baptism of wind and rain, although it has left a stain of rust, it can still faintly see the scene of the war in that year. Entering the museum from the gate, the museum is lined with trees, the environment is beautiful, there are no majestic buildings, no noisy sounds, and there is a solemn atmosphere. In front of the museum is a large square with a five-star minaret at the top of the museum.
Finally, we visited Ganlin Night School, located in Ganlin Village, Mazhang Town, Zhanjiang, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China, which is a municipal and county-level cultural relics protection unit in Zhanjiang City, with the type of important historical sites and representative buildings in modern and modern times, and was announced on October 15, 1995.
The old party members of Ganlin Village gave us a lesson in red culture. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the people of Ganlin heroically killed the enemy and fought with blood, and 98 outstanding young people joined the revolutionary contingent, 56 joined the Communist Party of China, 25 outstanding sons and daughters sacrificed their precious lives for the revolution, and 19 people were posthumously recognized as martyrs after liberation.
Set off anti-Japanese rescue activities. In August 1938, Suixi Youth Zhi Renshan, He Sen, Zhao Li, and Wang Guoqiang went to Ganlin Village through Liang Ziduan, a native of Ganlin Village, to use the Liang Ancestral Hall to open a peasant night school, teach the masses to read, and carry out anti-Japanese propaganda activities. The Ganlin Night School soon grew to more than 300 people, becoming one of the earliest and larger night schools in Suixi at that time. Subsequently, Ganlin Village successively set up anti-Japanese organizations such as "Suixi Youth Anti-Japanese Comrades Association Ganlin Communication Station", "Consumer Cooperative", and "Women's Resistance Association". In May 1939, the Ganlin Party Branch of the Communist Party of China was established, which was one of the earliest rural party branches established during the Suixi War of Resistance. Since then, Ganlin's revolutionary struggle has flourished under the leadership of the Party, growing stronger and stronger, and soon developed into the surrounding villages of Tianliao, Yangyi, Gouache, and Jiudong, and established a rural anti-Japanese camp centered on Ganlin.
Establish anti-Japanese armed forces and carry out guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines. In February 1943, the Japanese army invaded Haikang City, invaded Suixi, and the Leizhou Peninsula fell. In March, the communists Liang Fu and Liang Ruxin received instructions from their superiors to return to Ganlin Village, mobilize the masses to sabotage the highway to prevent the Japanese army from invading, and carry out activities such as plotting against the Japanese puppet army and organizing hoes and rapes, thus launching a heroic struggle against the enemy. Throughout the period of the revolutionary war, many characters with singing and weeping appeared in Ganlin Village: Liang Ruxin, the great king of the peasants, Liang Fu, a good cadre of the party, Jian Chang, a revolutionary fighter, Wu Sen, a revolutionary mother, Liang Biao, a brave company commander, Liang Peiying, who was full of courage, and Huang Nanbao, a strong guerrilla fighter.
Ganlin Beacon Blue Sky! The spirit of revolutionary struggle of the Ganlin people will shine forever!
Red culture is a culture unique to China. From the day of the birth of the Communist Party of China, it began to brew, to the wind, frost, snow and rain that had been experienced by the founding of New China, and finally it was bittersweet, and in between, a red culture, a spiritual pillar that belonged only to the Chinese people, was formed. The spirit of red culture is a precious spiritual wealth, which played a huge role in both the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, and until now, it also reminds us of the firm will of the people of Chinese to "unite, not afraid of hardship, not afraid of hardship, not afraid of tiredness" in the darkest days of China, and it is still a powerful thrust to encourage and inspire modern Chinese people to continue to struggle.
At present, contemporary people lack the spirit of positive dedication, and the stories of the martyrs in Ganlin Village make us burst into tears, what a fearless spirit! The spirit of sacrifice and dedication of the ancestors is worth learning at all times. Even if we are now in a time of peace and cannot talk about sacrificing ourselves to achieve the perfection of all, the spirit of active dedication is a quality we should have. The era of peace that our ancestors bought for us with their blood should know how to cherish it, and we contemporary young people must truly not forget our original intentions and keep our mission in mind!
