The tip of the dove pit began in the Tang Dynasty. In order to restore the historical famous tea, it belongs to the green tea category. Known as Muzhou Jiukeng Tea in ancient times, production resumed in 1979. Produced in Chun'an County, the main production area is located in Jiukeng, Weiping, Jiangjia and so on.
Chun'an County belongs to the hilly mountainous area of western Zhejiang, and the mountains are mostly distributed on the surrounding borders, mainly including Baiji Mountain in the northwest, Qianligang in the south and Yuling in the north. There are 80 peaks at an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. The northwestern mountains are mostly at an altitude of 600-1000 meters, and the eastern part is at an altitude of 400-600 meters. The county's mountainous hills account for 80%, water areas account for 13.5%, basins and valleys account for 6.5%. The water of the Xin'an River meanders down from the northwest and runs through the whole basin, and the reservoir is built to store water to form Qiandao Lake, which is below 108 meters above sea level. The mountainous area below 700 meters around Qiandao Lake has a deep and fertile soil layer and water regulation, which is very suitable for tea, and is the main production area of Chun'an tea.
Chun'an County's subtropical monsoon climate has changed significantly after the formation of Qiandao Lake, and the "lake effect" has made it more "mild". In the main production area of "Dove Pit Maojian", the mountains are high and deep, the humidity is large, the rock slopes are steep and the sunshine is short, and the tea trees are not invaded by cold winds and hot suns, so the leaf flesh is thick and the quality is excellent.
Mountain soils are divided into subcategories from high to low: yellow soil (above 700 meters above sea level), yellow red soil, and erosive red soil (200-700 altitude). Yellow-red soil is the largest subclass, and the soil-forming matrix is a clay weathering body of the Cambrian and Ordovician periods and remnants of granite. Yellow and red soil, the soil is loose, the texture is heavy soil, the organic matter content is rich, mainly slightly acidic and acidic. Hillside soil layer 30-60 cm.
The raw material for the fresh leaves of the dove pit is the initial development of one bud and one leaf to the first development of one bud and two leaves, and generally opens before the Qingming Dynasty. The special level of picking standard is the first development of one bud and one leaf, shaped like a pen tip, with about 4000-5000 bud heads per 500 grams.
The shape is strong, tight and straight, the color is emerald green, the silver is revealed, the aroma is clear and long-lasting, the taste is thick, fresh and resistant to bubbles, the soup color is tender and yellow, clear and bright, and the bottom of the leaves is yellow-green, thick and uniform. Its origin of the natural conditions are superior, the pigeon pit buds are fat and the buds are heavy, the dove pit hair tip aroma is fragrant and with the aroma of ripe chestnuts, resistant to brewing, sweet aftertaste, and the teeth and cheeks after the throat remain fragrant.
