From October 28th to 29th, Cui Peng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academic deputy director and researcher of the Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Water Resources, led Wang Quancai, deputy chief engineer and director of the research office of the Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and The Ministry of Water Resources, and Zhang Bo, chief engineer of The Sichuan Shutong Geotechnical Engineering Company, and their party went to Yanyuan County to carry out ground disaster prevention and control assistance services. Lu Qiang, secretary general of the state government, Nie Qiang, secretary of the party group and director of the state land and resources bureau, Yin Jiangtao, deputy secretary of the county party committee and county governor, Shen Shiri, member of the party group and deputy director of the state land and resources bureau, and Deng Xianguo, deputy governor of the county government, accompanied him.
Cui Peng and his party successively went to a group of ground disaster monitoring points in Krabi Village, Taozi Township, and the "7•19" soil landslide disaster sites in Glass Village, Taozi Township, and learned more about the operation of the geological disaster monitoring point, the successful avoidance of the "7•19" soil landslide, the landslide disaster management project and the post-disaster reconstruction project plan by means of on-site inspection, listening to reports, consulting drawings and related materials. Cui Peng and his party fully affirmed the work done and the results achieved by Yanyuan County in preventing and responding to geological disasters, and held that the county party committee and the county government attach great importance to it, conscientiously implement the decision-making and deployment of the party Central Committee, the State Council, the provincial party committee and the provincial government, adhere to the work idea of "prevention first, avoidance first, and combination of prevention and control". It directly avoided the casualties of 65 households and 281 people due to the disaster, becoming an exemplary success case and accumulating valuable experience in dealing with geological disasters. Cui Peng hopes that the county party committee and government will continue to attach importance to and increase their efforts to do a good job in disaster prevention and reduction, take the initiative in the monitoring of geological disasters, increase the investigation of hidden danger points, make full use of the data of automatic monitoring in combination with reality, and at the same time establish and improve the geological disaster prevention and control work system, fully mobilize the autonomy of the masses, widely participate, and better make greater contributions to the prevention and control of geological disasters. In the post-disaster reconstruction work of the "7.19" soil landslide, it is necessary to consider the overall situation, start planning and design in the long run, achieve comprehensive prevention and control, prevent the occurrence of secondary disasters, and restore the normal production and life of the masses as soon as possible. For the textbook successful hedging cases of the "7.19" soil landslide, it is necessary to further sum up the experience, refine the methods of successful hedging, and popularize them.

At the meeting, Cui Peng pointed out that disaster prevention and reduction work is a major people's livelihood work, which is related to the safety of the lives and property of the masses, and the Party Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping attach great importance to this work, and have made relevant work requirements and instructions on many occasions. In recent years, Liangshan Prefecture has conscientiously implemented the relevant decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, the State Council and the provincial party committee and the provincial government, strengthened the responsibility and implementation of disaster prevention and measures, effectively promoted the prevention and control of geological disasters in the whole prefecture, created a good situation of disaster prevention and reduction, and also accumulated rich successful experience. It is hoped that we will further establish and improve the working mechanism, innovate working methods, pay attention to the combination of scientific research and practical experience, pay attention to risks, study, respect and conform to relevant natural laws, comprehensive prevention and control, comprehensive measures, mass measurement and group prevention, and constantly explore, so as to push relevant work to a new level; we must attach importance to investigation, scientific management, do a good job of monitoring and early warning, early prevention, and move forward to the threshold of disaster prevention and mitigation work; we must accurately grasp the "difficult and serious diseases" in geological disaster work, and do a good job in the application and research of science and technology. Accurately grasp the bidding work of related projects, and use the latest relevant technologies to achieve the overall improvement of disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities.
At the meeting, Yin Jiangtao introduced the development of geological disaster prevention and control in our county. He pointed out that our county has always adhered to the principle of ensuring the safety of people's lives and property, conscientiously implemented the decision-making and deployment of the central and provincial governments on the prevention and control of geological disasters, took the implementation of work responsibilities as the core, and focused on the prevention and control of flash floods and geological disasters, solidly promoted the prevention and control of geological disasters during the flood season, and achieved positive results. In the next step, under the strong leadership of the central and provincial party committees and governments, and with the guidance and help of the Prefecture Land and Resources Bureau and technical support, our county will conscientiously sum up and popularize the successful risk avoidance experience of "7.19" in Taozi Township and other parts of the country, further strengthen publicity drills, and comprehensively improve the defense capability of the whole society against geological disasters; further improve the mass measurement and group prevention system, vigorously grasp monitoring and early warning, and make every effort to ensure the safety of the people's lives and property. At the same time, we will scientifically and orderly promote the construction of houses, road restoration, land consolidation, river improvement and other work for the post-disaster reconstruction of Taozi Township on July 19, so as to ensure that the disaster-stricken people can resume production as soon as possible and live a happy life.
At the meeting, Nie Qiang reported on the basic situation of Liangshan Prefecture and the development of geological disaster prevention and control work in the whole prefecture and the matters that need to be supported and solved; The relevant person in charge of Shutong Geotechnical Engineering Company introduced the development and distribution of geological disasters in Jinyang County and Muli County.
The heads of the relevant units of the Prefecture Land and Resources Bureau, the County Land and Resources Bureau, the State Geological Disaster Prevention and Control Technical Service Support Unit, and the main responsible persons of relevant units such as Taozi Township participated in the assistance service activities.
