Yan Bolong (1898-1954) was a famous flower and bird painter of the Northern Beijing-Tianjin School during the Republic of China period, working on landscapes, figures, feathers, and animals. Name Yuncheng, the word Yunlin, trumpet long white cloth, Beijinger. In the old days, the ancestors completed the Yan clan for the Great Golden Kingdom, and then in the Qing Dynasty, they inherited the position of blue flag leader, and the Qing Dynasty collapsed in the Xinhai Revolution, and became a cloth cloth overnight, so it was called "long white cloth". The residence is called Tsubaki Grass Hall. Graduated from Beijing Normal School in his early years, he followed up the Chinese Painting Department of Beijing Art College, studied under Mr. Wang Mengbai (Yun), Chen Hengke (Shi Zeng), and after graduation, he was hired as a Chinese painting teacher at Beijing Normal School and Art College, and a member of the Review Committee of the Chinese Painting Research Association. Literary teachers studied under Lin Qinnan. He is friends with Li Kuchan, Wang Shensheng, Wang Xuetao, and Qiu Shimu. Yan Bolong's early paintings were influenced by Wang Mengbai, and most of them imitated the brushwork of the Silla Mountain people, and there were many relics of the Eight Greats and Silla in the painting style. In the middle period, he gradually got rid of the style of his predecessors, and has incorporated some of his own brushwork into the paintings, such as "pseudo-yuanren brushwork", "imitation Of Lin Liang (Lü Ji) brushwork", "imitation of Li Futang brushwork" and so on.
