Netflix's sci-fi blockbuster Altered Carbon is a sneak peek, based on Richard K. Morgan's "cyberpunk" science fiction novel. It is reported that this drama is one of the most expensive Netflix production dramas so far.
Carbon Change (10 episodes) is set in a future 500 years from now, when human consciousness has been "digitized" and the human soul can be transferred from one body to another. Only if you have money, you can "live forever." Centuries later, the "starfighter" played by Will Yun Lee discovers that his consciousness is "downloaded" into the "new host" without consent. The "new host" played by Joel Kinnaman from "The Killing" now wants to help a billionaire solve the murder of his "predecessor" in the hope of getting a new life on Earth.
The show's cast also includes Renee Goldsberry, Martha Higareda, James Purefoy and Dichen Lachman.
