In 2021, new energy vehicles have opened a high-speed promotion model around the world, and in this context, the 2021 World New Energy Vehicle Conference (wnevc) was held in Haikou, Hainan on September 15. The three-day event included 20 conference forums, technology exhibitions and a number of concurrent events, and more than 1,000 senior officials of the global government, industry, academia and research in the field of new energy vehicles gathered in Hainan.

Among them, at the main forum held on September 16, Li Bin, founder, chairman and CEO of WEILAI, delivered a keynote speech.

At this year's conference, Li Bin mainly talked about NIO's efforts in achieving the "double carbon" goal, he believes that auto companies should play a more important role in achieving carbon neutrality in the whole industry, and NIO is working with supply chain partners to develop carbon reduction strategies.

Li Bin revealed that by the end of August, WEILAI's three models had delivered a total of 131,408 vehicles, with a cumulative vehicle mileage of 2.83 billion kilometers and a reduction of 18.42 tons. In addition, ATV has 445 substations put into operation and 22 recharged and replaced power stations, further reducing carbon emissions.

At the beginning of this year, NIO released the Blue Dot Plan, cooperating with the Shanghai Carbon Exchange to help users do carbon reduction transactions, which can be completed through the mobile Internet.

In addition, this year, Weilai will also establish a Xinqiao intelligent electric vehicle industry cluster, most of the parts can be produced and manufactured in the park, reducing a lot of carbon emissions.

Li Bin said that there are many scenarios for auto companies and energy companies to innovate together, and it can also greatly improve the reduction of carbon emissions.

When talking about deliveries, Li Bin said that due to the shortage of chip supply, WEILAI's deliveries in August have decreased. In August this year, NIO delivered a total of 5,880 smart electric vehicles. Among them, the ES8, ES6 and EC6 were 1738, 2342 and 1800 respectively.
