In 1981, in "Remembering Mr. Lu Xun", Ba Jin wrote:
I encouraged myself to tell the truth, and LuSau was my first teacher, but it was Mr. Lu Xun who illuminated the way for me with his burning heart in the middle of the decades. I saw it very clearly: in him, writing and life are consistent, writers and people are consistent, and character and literary character are inseparable. He wrote all the books that told the truth. Throughout his life, he searched for truth and pursued progress. He has the courage to dissect society, and even more courageous to dissect himself; he is not afraid to admit his mistakes, and he is not afraid to correct them. Each of his articles has stood the test of time, and he has indeed given his heart to the reader.

Ba Jin is known as the "conscience of Twentieth Century Chinese literature", while Lu Xun is called the "soul of the nation", and he is like "a sun that shines on everything" and becomes the "gentleman" in Ba Jin's heart.
Ba Jin admired Lu Xun's character, and was helped and blessed by Lu Xun, and infiltrated his spiritual wind and bones into his heart and passed it on, saying that "Mr. Lu xun will always be the support of our spirit."

This year marks the 140th anniversary of Lu Xun's birth, and it is particularly coincidental that October 19 this year marks the 85th anniversary of Lu Xun's death, and October 17 marks the 16th anniversary of Ba Jin's death.
On October 18th, the "Salary Transmission" Lu Xun and Ba Jin Photo Exhibition opened at the Xuhui District Tourism Public Service Center, which aims to show the friendship and spiritual inheritance between Lu Xun and Ba Jin, and carry forward the spiritual style of the two literary masters, which was planned by Ba Jin's former residence, and co-sponsored by Ba Jin's former residence and Xuhui District Culture and Tourism Bureau.
Lu Xun strongly supported the new Cultural Life Publishing House, which was a letter from Lu Xun to Xiao Jun on September 10, 1935, in which he mentioned that the publisher's "editor was about Ba Jin".
The exhibition is divided into three chapters: upper, middle and lower.
"That person is more serious than others", is Lu Xun's evaluation of Ba Jin, but also the title of the previous chapter, which traces the bits and pieces of Ba Jin's interaction with Lu Xun, from which you can feel Lu Xun's affirmation and care for his descendants, and also show Ba Jin's work and communication attitude.
The novella "We Have Never Forgotten Him" mainly displays Ba Jin's treasured books and objects related to Lu Xun, including some of Lu Xun's works, translations, Lu Xun's complete works, Lu Xun's complete manuscripts, books edited and printed by Lu Xun, as well as envelopes for Lu Xun's commemorative activities and stamps for Lu Xun's head.
"Following The Path of Lu Xun" is the next part of the exhibition, which tells the practical actions of Ba Jin to inherit and carry forward the spirit of Lu Xun.

For many years, Ba Jin has been following Lu Xun's path, especially in his later years, and he has raised the banner of "telling the truth", which is a direct inheritance and development of Lu Xun's true view of life. Two generations of writers have passed on the spiritual torch of modern Chinese intellectuals...

Zhou Limin, executive deputy director of The Former Residence of Ba Jin and executive vice president of the Ba Jin Research Association, was touched by Mr. Lu Xun in Mr. Ba Jin's collection, and he remembered that mr. Ba Jin had a collection of Lu Xun's poems in his daily life, which Mr. Ba Jin often carried with him in his later years in the 1990s.
He felt that Mr. Lu Xun's articles were articles that told the truth, and mr. Ba Jin's proposal to tell the truth and the self-reflection and self-analysis in his later years was equivalent to turning Lu Xun's spirit into part of his daily writing and action.
