In the south of our country and Japan, the heavy rain that is tearing the earth is endless, and the sky seems to have leaked out. In the face of these extreme climatic phenomena, those who have taken the college entrance examination understand that this requires the cooperation of the whole world. But at this moment, some people are busy "withdrawing from the group."
In addition to these wet answer messages, there are also some messages that can make people feel a little dryer. In Wuhan, which has just come out of the epidemic, on July 6, people were busy "spreading rumors and dispelling rumors". It turned out that on this day, many people received a WeChat article prompting the water on the road in Wuhan City, which seemed to have "a picture and a truth". But when people go out to work, they find that there is no water on the road. It turned out that this was the old text of July 6, 2016, the same heavy rain on the same day, but the problem of road water accumulation has been greatly improved, thanks to the large-scale transformation of the underground pipe network in Wuhan in recent years.
This shows that some things will have an effect as long as you do them seriously. Sooner or later, the masses of the people will see it in their eyes.
I haven't interviewed an important meeting in a long time due to the impact of the pandemic, but that doesn't mean that important work stays the course. On July 8, the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission held a meeting to announce that it would carry out the pilot work of education and rectification in the national political and legal contingent, and decided to roll out education and rectification in the national political and legal system from bottom to top from the bottom up on the basis of the pilot from 2021.
What does "education and rectification" mean, does it mean to conduct ideological education and carry out business study? People who have a deep understanding of the word "rectification" should not be so simple. This pilot education and rectification project places "eliminating the black sheep" at the top of the four tasks, that is to say, it is necessary to "take people." Those "two-faced people" who are disloyal and dishonest, those "protective umbrellas" of criminal syndicates and evil forces, and those corrupt elements who have not relented since the Eighteenth National Congress will all become the focus of rectification.
Since the launch of the special struggle against organized crime and evil in early 2018, a large number of "protective umbrellas" have been uprooted. After two and a half years of special struggle, why should we carry out education and rectification in the ranks of political and legal personnel? From the special struggle to the education and rectification, it is a logical progression. According to the plan, the special struggle to eliminate organized crime and evil forces will end at the end of this year. This does not mean that the crackdown on criminal syndicates and evil forces, especially the protective umbrella, will come to an end. With the end of the special struggle at the end of the year, the education rectification will be fully rolled out from 2021, changing the rhythm and continuing the trend of eliminating the black sheep.
More importantly, the "umbrella" has not only achieved achievements, but also exposed many problems that have been hidden for a long time. At the mobilization meeting of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission's education and rectification pilot work, the judgment on the elimination of the black sheep in the political and legal system was that "the situation is still grim." From some typical cases, it is not difficult to see that the reason why the criminal syndicates and evil forces in some areas have repeatedly failed to crack down and have not been swept away is precisely because the local political and legal system has been "systematically" eroded.
For example, in the case of Ren Aijun, the "black boss" in Taiyuan, Shanxi, the black boss nicknamed "Xiao Simao" had been sentenced to life imprisonment in 2002, but this trial did not completely remove this evil gang, but let it resurrect after ten years. It turned out that during his imprisonment, Xiao Simao's gang made many points for him and bought off a number of cadres of the political and legal system. Under the operation of these people, Xiao Simao used the commutation policy to the extreme, receiving seven commutations in succession, and the life sentence was actually only served for eleven years. Such fancy commutation, as long as there is a link and a department stuck, will not happen.
Xiao Simao's erosion of the local political and legal system surprised the task force. He lived in a single room in the prison, with all the appliances and furniture available, and some leading cadres even went to the cell to see him. Xiao Simao had said at that time that even if the main leaders of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government gave instructions to check on him, "it was the same as a bamboo basket to draw water." Among the personnel involved in the case investigated and punished by the Shanxi Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission afterwards, they really included leading cadres of the provincial high court, the provincial procuratorate, and the provincial prison administration. Only by carrying out the "self-revolution of scraping bones and curing poison" to the end can the criminal syndicates and evil forces cut down the grass and remove the roots, the achievements made in sweeping away the criminal syndicates and eliminating the evil forces can be maintained for a long time, and the masses of the people can truly gain a sense of security.
If we say that "umbrellas" are "cracked down" in the special struggle to eliminate organized crime and evil forces, what has been destroyed is the black sheep that have become climate in the political and legal contingent, and what has been eliminated is the lesion that has already formed. Then the focus of education and rectification also includes strengthening the body and "curing the disease before it is", and for those within the system that are not yet involved in criminal syndicates and evil forces, but have long existed "stubborn and chronic diseases", such as illegal participation in equity loans, relatives engaged in illegal business operations, etc., in the process of plugging loopholes one by one, the law enforcement judicial supervision and management system has gradually improved. This is the same as the treatment of urban water, as long as it is done in a down-to-earth manner, it will eventually work.
At the meeting of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, the rectification of education was likened to the "Rectification of Yan'an" in the style of agitating and promoting the Qing Dynasty. You can combine history and reality to seriously understand the deep meaning of this metaphor. In the face of major changes that have not been encountered in a hundred years, internal stability is the basis for coping with external challenges. The judiciary is the last line of defense for social fairness and justice, and the actions of the political and legal team are directly related to people's expectations and trust in fairness and justice, and are related to the people's hearts and minds. In this sense, it is understandable why such an "epic" metaphor is used.
