Harbin, 5 Oct (Xinhua) -- Under the fog of autumn and accompanied by the barking of chickens and dogs, several empty houses in Linsheng Village, Fulin Town, Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province, welcomed new tenants during the "Eleventh" holiday - tourists from other places who came to visit. In this remote village at the foot of Huazi Mountain in Tonghe County, the vacant old houses of former farmers after entering the city have now become "theme homestays" in the hearts of tourists.

Huanzi Mountain is a well-known tourist attraction around Harbin City, although it is located near the scenic spot, but Linsheng Village was once "empty" because of the mountain. Some villagers told reporters that the village is far from the county seat of Tonghe County, and with the increasing number of villagers working outside and accompanying their children to school, nearly half of the houses in the village are empty.

The road from Tonghe County to Huazi Mountain Scenic Area passes through Linsheng Village, and there are 18 courtyards on the west side of the road, and 12 are usually idle. Villager Li Wei said that at present, farmers are also popular "day school", agriculture relies on machinery, busy for up to 2 months a year, returning to the village when doing farm work, and living in the county town the rest of the time.

The clouds on the Huazi Mountain, the sweetness of the primeval forest in the air, and the reflection of the mountain years in the pond next to the village are common scenes in the eyes of the villagers, but they are the paradise that many tourists dream of. In 2017, in order to promote the construction of beautiful villages and the in-depth development of the tourism industry, Tonghe County integrated and rented 26 houses in Huanzishan Forest Farm and Linsheng Village, relying on good ecology to create movie-themed homestays.

Villager Jiang Xinsuo's home is now a "to youth" theme movie homestay, the movie posters and classic dialogue on the wall, let people in the homestay, but the mood returns to their own "green onion era". Jiang Xinsuo told reporters that the 96-square-meter house was originally inhabited by his parents, and after his parents moved to the county town two years ago, the old house was empty. Last year, the old house was rented at a price of 10,000 yuan per year, and the contract period was 10 years. He said: "I was so surprised, I didn't expect that the empty house could still make money." ”

Heilongjiang Zhonglang Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd. rebuilt 3 old houses. In just a few months, the low farm yard has become "to youth", the double-storey house has become "day on the clouds", and each house and even room has a unique movie theme. The abandoned factory building at the mouth of the village has been turned into a visitor reception center, and small art exhibitions can be held, and the once deserted Linsheng Village has become a fashionable and charming movie-themed homestay village.

"The establishment of the homestay village not only makes the 'empty nest village' popular again, but also improves the rural environment, promotes the upgrading of tourism, and increases the income of farmers." Chen Jia, chairman of Heilongjiang Zhonglang Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd., said.

Li Ming, secretary of the party branch of Linsheng Village, told reporters that the original old house had no insulation layer outdoors, no water supply and sewerage indoors, and after the transformation, there were all; in the past, farmers used straw for heating, and now they use electricity and are clean and sanitary; in the past, domestic garbage was thrown everywhere, and now it is uniformly collected and sent to designated locations for treatment. The transformation of old houses into homestays not only increases the income of farmers, but also changes the rural environment.

Seeing that the homestay is getting more and more popular, some "day school" villagers have begun to think about returning to work as waiters and cooks, and a farm in the village that specializes in "native dishes" is also being built. "In the future, I also want to go back to the village to do some small business, and recommend the hazelnuts and black fungus in the mountains to tourists." Jiang Xinsuo said.
