Du Zhenyu, born in 1983 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, began to play football at the age of 4, entered the Liaoning Provincial Institute of Physical Education and Technology at the age of 7, entered the Gao Fengwen Football School at the age of 12, and was later recruited into the Changchun Yatai Reserve Team, from 1997, Du Zhenyu with the team to compete in the Central B League, but for two consecutive years, failed to help the team to break the first division, even so, Yatai still signed a 10-year contract with Du Zhenyu.
Soon, Du Zhenyu through hard training, technology has made great progress, but also from the bench to grow into the main force of the team, in 2005, he helped the team to promote to the Chinese Super League, he was also selected for the first time in the national team, the first year of the Chinese Super League, Yatai went all the way to the top, won the fourth place in the Chinese Super League that year, in 2007, under the leadership of Du Zhenyu and Wang Dong, they won the Chinese Super League championship, laughing proudly, at the same time, Du Zhenyu also won the Footballer of the Chinese Super League that year.
