Ni Jide was born on January 1, 1942 in Zhuanghe County, Liaoning Province, and played for Liaoning FC during his playing career. In 1961, Ni Jide was selected for the national training team for the first time. In the 1963 Emerging Forces Games, he represented the national football team and entered the quarterfinals.
