At that time, my friends were all fans of Galaxy Image Hong Kong movies, and I took a unique approach to attacking the Korean movies that were about to become the climate, and it didn't seem to constitute a reason to pull together.
In addition to this group of friends, Wudaokou often encounters international students from language universities. Among them, most of them are Koreans. Koreans are particularly recognizable because they mysteriously spend their time near subway stations, spreading the gospel of Christ and inviting people into the church.

"Zishan Fish Recipe" is a new Korean film in 2021, black and white. Tell a book, an island, a piece of ancient Korean history, and two people, an old man and a young man, who were teachers and apprentices, and later went different in life.

My actual perception is also the same as several costume Korean films I have seen before - "Si Mourning" directed by Lee Hon-yee, "Namhansanseong" starring Lee Byung-hyun and Kim Yoon-seok, and the costume action genre film "Final Weapon: Bow".

Shock and emotion, more from these films, seem to be more like - déjà vu to beat the chest, their story templates also appear in Chinese history, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing.
Take "Mourning" as an example. It has a small pattern of framing and sensational drama, but the film filmed the lamentations of the Ming Dynasty kings who are not suitable for being emperors and have a strange personality. They are often drowned in a line of history, and no one will see the succession of the throne as a family relationship between father and son, but a vigorous history of conspiracy and gladiatorial struggle.

In the ming dynasty, Manchuria was so sinicized that it could not even speak Manchu, but the Koreans made a "Korean traitor" movie that punched themselves in the face, perhaps, psychologically strong, more worthy of respect than the movie.
The Zishan Fish Recipe began when Koreans spread the gospel of Christ around the world, and even to Afghanistan and Pakistan, where Catholicism had just been introduced to the Korean Peninsula. Ding Ruoquan's books written in Chinese were not translated into Korean until the new century, and they are quite remote to say. In the ancient history stories of kings and generals, Ding Ruoquan, who sought truth, survival, universal values, and wrote natural books, once again opened up a new perspective of oriental cinema. The repressed, the degraded scholars, the confused intellectuals, they have a fragile and uneasy human side, and they are also rebelling against the establishment and liberating the natural outpouring of nature.

Exiled by the emperor, the story of the people who left the world hanging alone, and who set up a speech was also repeated in many dynasties of the Tang, Song and Ming dynasties, like Su Dongpo was exiled farther and farther away, and finally they all went to Hainan Island, "Ask RuPing's life and deeds, Huangzhou Huizhou Danzhou". Ding Ruoquan was exiled to the island of Montenegro, he was in a sleepy mood, he felt that Montenegro was not auspicious, so he changed his words to 玆 (that is, two Xuan), Xuan is black, and Zishan is Montenegro.
Movies are certainly under-budgeted, resulting in black and white in the form of decolorization, reducing costs. It is said that the shooting of costume films is expensive and easy to wear, which is quite a test of the film industry. Real shooting means to set up the scene, transfer, the mainland has built many film and television cities, repeated use, closed production, compressed the production cost. There is also a scene of "day and night" in the film, that is, Ding Ruoquan falls into the water by the sea, which is also a cost-saving consideration.
However, "Zishan Fish Recipe" is presented in black and white, and it also presents a strong contrast in the tone of the shadow - the second half of Changda's career. The black-and-white film also further rationalizes the bluebirds and blue oceans that appear at the end of the film. The most cheesy way to explain the text, the eliminated loser Zhang Changda, ushered in the same fate as the teacher, and as a new generation, facing the same Montenegro Island, truly opened his eyes to see the marine civilization representing the West ("Zishan Fish Spectrum", this natural book).
When it was introduced to the Eastern world, missionaries also came with Western science. The film does not open its arms and embrace the faith in God (to a certain extent, showing the saintly temperament of the Ding brothers), nor does it violently lash out at the fainting Zhu Zixue, after all, Changda, who longs for fame, still has to learn from scratch. More space drama, called to "catch more fish" this thing.
Somewhat regrettably, Ding Ruoquan and Zhang Changda need to share limited time and space, which leads to the inevitable conflict of dualistic opposition. The film seems to deliberately delay its late arrival, and what Zhang Chang learns on paper always falls into practice, such as the poetic talent of the four seats, such as the easy examination. Also limited by the incompleteness of real people (although there is also the entry of Ding Ruoquan to settle down on the island), the film cannot present a more passionate echo on the historical face and cognitive level.
From today's point of view, the Zishan Fish Book is a naturalist book, similar to finding alpine plants in Gaoligong Mountain, cultivating tropical plants in Xishuangbanna, or bird watching in the Malay Islands. Released back to the Joseon Dynasty, the "Zishan Fish Recipe" broke the stylistic restrictions of the time and wrote a "useless book" to pass on to future generations. Ding Ruoquan was on the edge of the decaying dynasty island, hearing the sound of the conch 🐚 and probing the outline of the world. Just such a character image, dialogue with the establishment, communication with young people, I can hardly remember, over the years there have been Chinese costume films involved.
It is no wonder that some people exclaim that Korean costume films have made more novelty than Chinese action movies and Japanese era dramas.
