This yield is not high compared to some high-yield hybrid rice, such as Chu Rice No. 3, Yongyou No. 12 and other rice varieties have appeared in the mu yield of more than 2,000 pounds of records, so at present, chongqing Dazu giant rice and high-yield rice mu yield is still far behind, but Yuan Longping academician and other agricultural experts have generally believed that the mu yield of ordinary rice excellent varieties has reached the ceiling, because the plant is relatively short, can not absorb more soil nutrients, water and better photosynthesis disadvantages, Its yield per mu has been difficult to have more breakthroughs, but giant rice in this regard is stronger than the excellent varieties of ordinary rice, its ability to absorb water nutrients and photosynthesis is stronger than ordinary rice, then it can also provide more nutrient supply for rice ear inversion, so there is still a lot of room for improvement in mu yield.
In the future, technicians will also improve the varieties of giant rice, so that the rice ears of giant rice are larger, the rice grain is more, and the rice grain volume is also larger, so that its yield per mu will gradually increase, and eventually surpass the high-yield varieties of ordinary rice.
