I have to say that Shen Zhiyue is really too good.
Shen Zhiyue's most cattle point is that after he joined the military command in 1933, he quickly became Dai Kasa's proud protégé, and in 1937 he was ordered to sneak to Yan'an, where he served as Chairman Mao's secretary for a time.

Among them, Chen Bo, who served as the director of the security department of the Yan'an Border Region Government and was specially responsible for protecting the safety of the central leadership, once arrested 51 agents of the Han training class who had infiltrated the border area, and exposed more than 150 clues from the secret agents, which was then called the "Hanzhong training class" case.
Chen Bo also won the title of "Sherlock Holmes of Yan'an".
Shen Zhiyue was able to dodge Chen Bo's fiery golden eyes and lurk in Yan'an, and had to admit that he had superiority.
The tasks entrusted to Shen Zhiyue by Dai Kasa were: first, to collect important intelligence on Yan'an; second, to assassinate senior Communist Party leaders.
Although Shen Zhiyue later gave an exclusive interview to the Taiwanese and Hong Kong media in January 1983, he claimed that after he arrived in Yan'an, he entered the Yan'an Red Army University (later renamed the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University), graduated with particularly excellent results and performance, served as a staff officer of the Eighth Route Army Left Behind Corps, and was later assigned to the central organs as a mailing and receiving worker, and once served as Mao Zedong's secretary.
But he fell far short of Dai's requirements in both intelligence gathering and assassination.
In fact, in January 1938, he was transferred by Chairman Mao to work in the White District of Zhejiang Province.
Lao Qin interjected here that some people had doubted Shen Zhiyue's claim that he had been Chairman Mao's secretary, and specifically asked Wang Dongxing, Liu Jianfu, and others who were responsible for the security work of the CPC Central Committee, and the answer was extremely affirmative: Chairman Mao had never used Shen Zhiyue as a secretary.
However, Wang Fang, who had long served as Chairman Mao's guard and minister of public security after the founding of the People's Republic of China, confirmed in his memoirs that Shen Zhiyue had indeed entered the confidential department of the CPC Central Committee to work as a receiving and sending worker, but he soon aroused Chairman Mao's vigilance and was transferred by Chairman Mao to work in the white area of Zhejiang.
In this matter, Shen Zhiyue should not be bragging.
But it is also true that Shen Zhiyue did not accomplish anything in Yan'an.
He later felt that the situation was not good and quietly slipped away.
The crimes caused by Shen Zhiyue to the people are mainly in the following aspects:
According to Wang Fang's memoirs, Shen Zhiyue "had his hands stained with the blood of revolutionaries, and booby-trapped and killed seven or eight Communists in Shanghai and Hangzhou in the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression";
Second, shen Zhiyue accompanied Ye Ting and Xiang Ying to Jiangxi in January 1938 to help organize the headquarters of the New Fourth Army, and passed on a lot of confidential information of the New Fourth Army to the Kuomintang. Xu Zongmao, a well-known scholar in Taiwan, believes that the fact that the New Fourth Army was surrounded and attacked by the Kuomintang troops during the Anhui Incident was the information sent by Shen Zhiyue;

In 1963, during Liu Shaoqi's visit to Cambodia, he planned the assassination of Liu Shaoqi in Phnom Penh.
Because of Chiang Ching-kuo's appreciation, Shen Zhiyue was transferred to the bureau chief of the investigation bureau in June 1964, and was known as the "father of the investigation bureau" in Taiwan. In 1979, Shen Zhiyue had retired, and Chiang Ching-kuo hired him as a national policy adviser to the Presidential Office.
Shen Zhiyue's original wife, named Shao Dazhen, had a son and two daughters, and died of illness in 1976. Shen Zhiyue was so happy that year that he married Xu Lu, a famous Singer of Taiwanese Peking Opera.
In 1990, Shen Zhiyue was 77 years old, suffering from an incurable disease, and heeded Xu Lu's advice and went to the mainland to seek medical treatment.
According to Xu Zongmao's book Huang Jie and Zheng Dongguo, Deng Xiaoping received Shen Zhiyue. General Zhang Aiping found the descendants of Li Shizhen, a famous doctor of the Ming Dynasty, to treat Shen Zhiyue.
Shen Zhiyue's illness is an incurable disease, even if Li Shizhen himself comes to diagnose and treat it is useless, and it will not play any role in being treated by "the descendants of Li Shizhen, a famous doctor of the Ming Dynasty".
On February 14, 1994, Shen Zhiyue fell ill and died in Taiwan at the age of 81.
Curiously, Chi Lansen, Shen Zhiyue's former subordinate, said in a memorial article: Former mainland defense minister Zhang Aiping wrote a pair of elegies to Shen Zhiyue, which contained words such as "all-round talent in literature and martial arts, good governance of the country, two masters in one matter, and no injury on both sides."
Based on this, Hong Kong reporter Lu Hao deduced that Shen Zhiyue was an undercover agent placed in Taiwan by the mainland.
Zeng Yongxian, another of Shen Zhiyue's former subordinates, also agreed with Lu Hao's inference in the book "Sixty Years from Left to Right: An Interview with Mr. Zeng Yongxian", believing that Shen Zhiyue was an intelligence officer sent by the CCP to the Kuomintang.
A man signed "Cao Zuocai" wrote "Shen Zhiyue, the Second Generation of The Kuomintang Spy King" in 2009, which had a nose and eyes, saying that Zhang Aiping had worked with Shen Zhiyue and praised Shen Zhiyue for his "personality very similar to Premier Zhou's."

General Zhang Aiping died in 2003, and in order to restore the original historical appearance, General Zhang Aiping's wife Li Youlan had to issue a document on December 4, 2009 to clarify: Zhang Aiping had never worked with Shen Zhiyue, but when Zhang Aiping served as a military instructor at Kang Da in early 1937, Shen Zhiyue was a member of the Kang University, and the two were considered to be teachers and students, and Zhang Aiping had no impression of Shen Zhiyue as a student. As for Zhang Aiping's praise of Shen Zhiyue's "personality like Zhou Enlai", it is pure fiction. In addition, Cao Wenzhong quoted "all-round talent in literature and martial arts, governing the country well", "one thing, two masters, no harm on both sides" and other words, Zhang Aiping never said such a thing when she was alive, let alone wrote such a "bang lian"!
Li Youlan stressed that the couple did not know Shen Zhiyue, and one day in the early 1990s, the person in charge of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council brought Shen Zhiyue to visit Zhang Aiping, who had retired from her leisure home. As soon as Shen Zhiyue met, he claimed that he had come specifically to thank General Zhang for his grace of not killing. Originally, in 1955, when our army launched the Campaign to Liberate the Great Exhibition Island, Zhang Aiping served as the commander-in-chief, and in order to avoid injuring civilians, he agreed to withdraw the military and civilians on the island. At that time, Shen Zhiyue and Jiang Jingguo were on the island and luckily escaped the disaster.
That is, Shen Zhiyue is not a "double-sided spy", he is an enemy element whose hands are stained with the blood of revolutionaries. However, "the brothers who have crossed the robbery wave are here, and they have met each other and laughed and lost their enmity", the smoke of war has passed away, and the two sides who fought on the battlefield have laid down their weapons, and they should look to the future and hold hands to cherish this hard-won peaceful and happy life.
