On the afternoon of September 4th, Mr. Sun Yi, a famous painter in our province, professor of Shandong Academy of Arts and Crafts, and member of China Artists Association, was a guest of the organizing committee of the "Telling Shandong Story Well" competition, and gave the specially created Chinese painting "Zhong Kui Nafu" to the organizing committee of the competition to help the third "Tell the Story of Shandong" essay contest to be held smoothly, and discussed the progress of the competition, the integration and development of Shandong culture and tourism, and the prospects of cultural creativity with Zhao Guiqin, deputy director of the organizing committee and director of the Shandong Haidai Traditional Culture Research and Development Center, and other cultural figures.
"Zhong Kui NaFu" is based on the story of "Tang Zhifu Zhen Zhai Shengjun" in traditional Chinese culture, and the legendary Zhong Kui is a god who fights ghosts and exorcizes evil spirits, hanging in the home, which can drive away ghosts and nafu. Sun Yi's Zhong Kui is dressed in a red shirt, an iron-faced beard, holding a long sword, and angry eyebrows, with a vivid and interesting image, bold color, and a bold pen, which is quite infectious. Professor Sun Yi introduced the painting while laughing and said, Let the ghost-driving Zhong Kui escort our competition!
Sun Yi, a native of Fushan, Yantai, Shandong, liked to paint since childhood, studied in Shanghai when he was young, baihai school famous artists Han Heping, Zheng Jiasheng, Wang Guanqing and other gentlemen as teachers, learned to write brushwork and freehand characters, animals and flowers and birds freehand, got their careful guidance, and then was admitted to the Shandong Academy of Arts and Crafts, systematically learned the theoretical knowledge and painting techniques of the Western painting system such as drawing, color, composition, etc., and at the same time continuously studied Chinese painting, and gradually integrated it in years of intensive study and research, paying attention to the lines and surfaces of traditional Chinese painting. It also pays attention to the sense of somatosension and space of Western painting, which is unique and forms its own style. His paintings, the composure of the splash of ink and the brilliance of the colors form a sharp contrast; Color lining ink, motto color, loud and coordinated. He not only absorbed the tone of color used in Western painting, but also boldly adopted the treatment method of folk color, but still did not lose the charm of Chinese ink painting. His works have been selected for the 9th National Art Exhibition sponsored by the China Artists Association, the 5th and 6th National Sports Art Exhibitions, the 85th Anniversary of the Founding of the Army and the National Art Exhibition, the 60th Anniversary National Fine Arts Exhibition (2 pieces) commemorating chairman Mao's "Speech at the Yan'an Literary and Art Forum", and won the silver medal of the First China Design Art Exhibition. "Painting is self-reliant, and the more it has its own unique artistic language, the more vitality it has." Sun Yi is good at observing and refining from natural life, and is deeply interested in nature. Pan Lusheng, president of the Shandong Academy of Arts and Crafts, commented when writing the preface to his "Exhibition of New Works of Chinese Paintings in the Slushy Traces". "Take creation as the teacher", the Tao exists in the chest, plays at will, and writes the way of creation with the teacher of nature. Sun Yi's paintings are eclectic, and the subject matter is often not limited to a certain form, and the mountains and rivers and homestays, characters, flowers and birds can be included in the painting. Natural fun and wild spirits and clear light illuminate people are important styles of his paintings, and the formation of this style is due to his good at drawing materials from the natural scenery of the countryside. His birds and animals, flowers, birds, songbirds, and insects are all vivid and vivid, and each has its own interest, and then with the flowers and hedges, the cultivation of bamboo in the forest, the ancient pines of strange stones, and the cold level of sand, he has entered the artistic realm of "only writing incense without appearance and flowers, and fainting with ink and waves." Especially as a college teacher, the spring outdoor landscape sketching class and the autumn class (human body) sketching class that must be attended every year provide him with a wealth of creative materials and opportunities to repeatedly hone his techniques, so that his creative inspiration is endless and full of vitality.
Sun Yi believes that Chinese painting is a form of painting with a sustenance spirit, whether in the choice of theme and content, or in the creation of artistic conception and atmosphere, we must pay great attention to cultural and humanistic spirit. His paintings are praised for inheriting traditions, deriving from life and daring to come up with new ideas and profound literary meanings, which is a concentrated expression of his profound understanding of the concept and technique of traditional flower and bird painting and the ability to swallow freely after immersing himself in the spirit of traditional Chinese painting, concentrating on the classic works of style inheritance and orderly inheritance, and concentrating on the deep understanding of the concept and technique of writing gods of objects and the method of writing gods, which not only has profound traditional skills, but also has profound cultural connotations.
