Yu Ji: (?) -200, Yizuo Ganji, Ganmu), a native of Jiaonan, Qingdao. A famous Taoist priest at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, one of the representative figures of Huang Lao Dao.
There are two theories about Yu Ji in the history books: (1) it is believed that he is the author of the Taiping Jing. The Later Han Shu Xiangkai Biography records that Yu Ji presented the sacred book to Emperor Shun of Han, called the Book of Taiping Qingling. (2) It is believed that he was a Taoist priest during the Three Kingdoms period, preached in Jiangdong in the Wu region, won the admiration of the local people, and was later killed by Sun Ce. The town of Fengqiao in present-day Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, has ancient place names such as Ganxi, Ganxi Village, Ganxi Road, and Ganxi Beach, which are said to be related to Yuji.
