Parole probationary period is until September 9, 2019.
China FAW Group Corporation is the starting point of China's automobile industry and has the reputation of "the eldest son of the republic". However, since 2011, FAW Group has been caught in the anti-corruption whirlpool, hundreds of people including Xu Jianyi, the former chairman of the group, have been investigated, and dozens of group executives have been dismissed.

According to the Legal Evening News, Zhou Chun took advantage of his work convenience to provide inside information to investors or some general managers of 33 FAW-Volkswagen brand dealers before the dealer's application to establish a new brand 4S store, post-application assessment, and approval process, thus accepting bribes.
Zhou Chun's power doesn't stop there. From April 2007 to April 2009, Zhou Chun gave Zhou Chun RMB 230,000 in three installments due to his preference for Liu Mou, chairman of Baojie Automobile Sales and Service Co., Ltd. in Luohe City, Henan Province, in terms of resource allocation. According to the criminal judgment, from April 2007 to February 2013, Zhou Chun received bribes from 48 people during his tenure as deputy general manager of the Eastern Regional Sales Division of the Volkswagen Brand of FAW-Volkswagen Sales Co., Ltd. and deputy general manager of the Volkswagen brand, totaling RMB21.53 million, HK$1.71 million, US$1.836 million, EUR 1.074 million and Australian RMB13,000.

On September 9, 2015, the Meihekou Municipal People's Court of Jilin Province rendered a judgment, finding defendant Zhou Chun guilty of accepting bribes from non-state workers and sentencing him to seven years in prison, after which Zhou Chun served his sentence at Changchun Beijiao Prison in Jilin Province.

The Paper learned from the China Judgment Documents Network that the Changchun City Intermediate People's Court in Jilin Province held that Liang Xiaomei did show repentance during the period of serving her sentence, met the conditions for reducing her sentence prescribed by law, and was eventually reduced by six months.
