Big and small news on April 17 (Today's Longkou News)
Wang Yaohui, attending physician of the Department of Critical Care Medicine of the Municipal People's Hospital and a member of the eighth batch of medical teams from Shandong Province, went to Wuhan on February 9 to engage in medical treatment at the Hanyang Guobo Fanggang Hospital, which lasted 52 days.
My trip to Hubei lasted 38 days, as of the end of the cabin, our medical team has treated 599 patients, a total of 305 people have been cured and discharged, and the Hanyang Guobo Fang Cabin Hospital where I am located has handed over a full score answer sheet of 0 deaths for patients, 0 infections for medical staff, and 0 return of discharged patients!
38 days and nights, from winter to spring, from night to dawn. Memories of these days are short and long. For more than a month, every day running between the hotel and the square cabin hospital, it seems that the simple two points and one line have come out of the soup like a fire, and it has experienced the taste of the world.
Classmates meet in the epidemic area to see each other and go to the battlefield
In the summer 15 years ago, just 2 years after the SARS epidemic, several enthusiastic young people who were about to graduate from medical school said goodbye to alcohol in their dormitories. Talking about the distant future and thinking of the cruel SARS, we agreed: there will be another major epidemic, and we will meet in the epidemic area.
After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the situation is becoming more and more severe, and the information of the spread of the epidemic stimulates people's nerves through various channels every day, and more and more patients are infected. On January 29, the second day of the first lunar month, I was urgently transferred to the Infectious Disease Department to participate in the epidemic prevention and control work in our city, and I felt a heavy burden on my shoulders.
From the circle of friends, I learned that the classmates of that year had already come to Hubei to support, and I met with my colleagues MuRan, and our brothers went to Hubei together as companions! I submitted the petition to the hospital for the first time and said to the leader: "I am disciplined and strong, let me go!" "After layers of selection, I finally stood on the front line of the "epidemic". I feel extremely honored to be able to participate in the rescue and treatment of the epidemic area, which is also the original intention of applying for the medical university, and I realized the wish of the WARS that year!
At 1 a.m. on February 9, I was on the night shift at the fever clinic when I received an urgent notice to leave for Hubei that day, so I hurried home to pack my bags. My lover is a doctor at Beihai Hospital, and she was very supportive of me going to the front line, but repeatedly told me to do personal protection. My wife said to me, "Everything in the family has me, you can go with confidence!" "Before going out, the two sons were still asleep, and I gently kissed their faces, which was a farewell, and my heart was full of reluctance.
On the morning of the 9th, I came to the hospital to prepare for departure, and the hospital prepared many daily necessities and protective equipment for me. The hospital leader said, "Take them all, and then tell the family what is missing there." After saying that, he patted me the shoulder, and I could see the instructions and expectations in his eyes. At the meeting point of the administrative center, the city leaders came to see us off and repeatedly told us to pay attention to safety. This reminds me of the scene during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, when the people of my hometown sent their children and soldiers to the front line, and they secretly resolved that this trip would not fail in their mission. Subsequently, the city arranged a special car to send me, Ning Ning, and Xiaoxia to Jinan Yaoqiang Airport, where they joined 303 medical personnel from 16 cities in the province to form the eighth batch of medical teams in Shandong Province to assist Hubei and embark on the journey of aiding Hubei.
Vow to break the wrist with the disease Doctor and patient fight with one heart
On February 10th, we started our hospital infection protection training. The medical team also set up a temporary party branch, and the strength of the party members around me infected me at all times, and I quickly submitted an application to join the party, determined to demand myself according to the standards of party membership, take the lead and bravely shoulder the heavy burden.
On February 11, I was stationed at Hanyang Guobo Fang Cabin Hospital with members of the medical team. This is a 960-bed crash-course hospital that treats mild and ordinary confirmed patients, jointly managed by the Shandong and Sichuan teams, each responsible for 480 beds. Each time we enter the cabin, there are 5 doctors, 8 nurses, including 1 mobile doctor, one doctor and two nurses are in charge of 8 small cabins, and each doctor is responsible for more than 100 patients.
The first time I entered the cabin was from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day, and I was wearing a 3-layer protective suit, and together with the members of the fourth group, I carefully walked slowly into the square cabin. After entering the cabin, we were all shocked by the scene in front of us, nearly 1,000 patients were assigned to different cabins, although it was more than 10 o'clock at night, many patients did not sleep. Knowing that we were a medical team from Shandong, many patients got up to express their gratitude to us, and at this moment, tears welled up in my eyes with my teammates and I. Seeing their dazed and eager eyes, the fear in my heart was quickly replaced by the doctor's sense of mission and high morale, and everyone quickly threw themselves into the diagnosis and treatment work, asking questions, reading films, issuing medical advice...
During the first round of rounds, nothing happened. As a doctor in the department of critical care medicine, carefulness and patience have become my habits. After a short break, I and my group of nurses began a second round of inspections. This time I found a 73-year-old uncle who said he was going to get ready for bed, but now he was sitting on the edge of the bed, I didn't feel right, and immediately came forward to inquire. He said that he could not lie flat and felt that he was holding his breath, so I asked for medical history, reading films, and physical examination again, and initially diagnosed him with heart failure, and immediately arranged oxygen for him. The conditions of the Fang Cabin Hospital were rudimentary and the medical conditions were poor, so I immediately asked the medical team for help and contacted and referred him to the Fifth People's Hospital of Wuhan. When he followed up a few days later, the doctor of the fifth hospital said that it was fortunate that the uncle turned over in time, otherwise his life might be in danger. After this incident, I was more cautious when I patrolled.
The most difficult thing is the rotational elimination class, which is to guide the outgoing personnel to take off protective equipment and disinfect. In this high-pressure environment, when a person is alone, uncomfortable feelings such as holding breath and nose bridge pain will be infinitely magnified. To ease my anxiety, I kept walking back and forth, talking to myself, and especially expecting someone to come out of the cabin so that there was work to be done.
Once, a police officer needed to leave the cabin to change the full set of protection because of skin exposure. When he took off the protective clothing, his hand washing movements were not standardized, so I instructed him to use the 7-step hand washing method over and over again, and when he took off the protective clothing, I said to him, "Don't be troublesome, safety first, protect yourself to protect others." "He actually gave me a salute and thanked me for taking responsibility for their lives. True feelings for sincerity, such a touch is staged in the square cabin every day.
There was a 53-year-old sister in the cabin area that my husband and uncle had died of infection, and the great grief and fear of death made her unable to sleep every day. In the early hours of that morning, when I was on a tour, I found her still sitting on the edge of the bed, so I took the initiative to go over and talk to her to help her alleviate her anxiety and build confidence. Later, I would pay attention to her situation and chat with her every day, and her situation was getting better and better. One day, she called me over and handed me an orange, saying it was something she had left for me. An ordinary orange represents a heavy feeling, and people who have not experienced it cannot understand this fateful friendship.
There was also a 40-year-old sister in the cabin, who saw that we were wearing 3 layers of gloves and pressing the computer, and took the initiative to help us record information, roll call, get out of the cabin, and send food to the patient number. She also mobilized party members to set up a cabin chief to help us understand the situation and demands of patients in the cabin in advance, and improved the efficiency and quality of diagnosis and treatment.
In Wuhan, the love donations from all over the country made me feel warm, and our medical team ate "hundred meals". Some local caring people in Wuhan heard what the medical staff wanted to eat, so they sent it to them. One day, a nearby shop owner met a member of the Shandong team and asked us what we wanted to eat, we shouted "dumplings", and the next day he sent the dumplings we had in mind. This trip to fight the "epidemic" made me deeply feel the greatness of medical personnel and the greatness of the motherland.
On February 21, we welcomed the first patients out of the cabin. On March 8, we sent the last batch of recovered patients to the isolation point for 14 days of isolation, the remaining 76 patients were referred for treatment, and The Wuhan Hanyang Guobo Fang Cabin Hospital was officially closed. On March 17, we successfully completed the rescue mission and finally embarked on the return journey. On April 1, after 14 days of quarantine in Qihe, I returned to my hometown, met my family who had been thinking about it day and night, and had a reunion dinner. Sitting on the car in Huilongkou, I drank the water of our temple, and it really felt very sweet.
The mother of the child is worried about the support of the hometown to add strength
Before going to Hubei, I was afraid that the old man was worried, so I discussed with my wife not to tell my parents first. Unexpectedly, the people of Longkou cared about us far beyond imagination, and on the day of departure, the media reported on a large scale, and the elderly at home finally knew about my assistance to Hubei. Afraid of disturbing me, my mother did not dare to call, in order to be able to contact me more, she learned to use WeChat. At the beginning, I reported good news and no worries, saying that I only went to 6 point shifts a day, which was much easier than before, and here are some mild patients, we are tightly wrapped, there is no risk at all, don't worry.
But one day, on the phone with my mother, there was a sobbing sound from the microphone, and my mother said that I was lying, she saw my "war diary", and the cabin was not as relaxed as I said. This made me very distressed, and since then I have not expressed my feelings in the circle of friends.
Thank you so much to my wife, we fell in love with each other in college and have gone through 17 years together. When I was on the front line, she took up the responsibility of taking care of the old and young in the family alone in the rear, giving me great understanding and support. Thank you very much to the Longkou Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government and people from all walks of life for their care and care for my family, the municipal leaders, the Municipal Health Bureau and the hospital leaders in the midst of their busy schedules, several trips to the home to visit the condolences, arrange special people to deliver fresh vegetables to the door every day, and also arrange nurses to assist the wife to take care of the second child. My father-in-law and mother-in-law were taken from Linyi to Longkou and asked them and my wife to take care of each other and accompany each other. Thank you very much to the people of the city for their support and help, and I will always remember it.
When you leave, the spring is cold and steep, and the spring flowers bloom back. As a doctor, I am very proud to participate in this people's battle of epidemic prevention and control, and to contribute my part when the country needs me. Home is the smallest country, and the country is ten million! On this trip to Wuhan, I have undergone experience, harvested growth and touch, and felt the strength of the motherland and the majestic power of the unity of the people. This trip to Wuhan is the most precious experience and grinding in my life, illuminating my future path of medical practice and life. I will redouble my efforts in my future work and practice the benevolence of doctors with my actions.
