The southern section of the Xiangyang Ring Expressway project starts from Yushan Town, Xiangzhou District, passes through Lumen Mountain, crosses the Han River, 207 National Highway, and is connected to the South Outer Ring of Xiangjing Expressway in Yinji and Xiangjing Expressway in Xiangcheng District, with a total length of about 31.6km, using the first-class highway standard construction, two-way four-lane, and the design speed is 100 km / h.
Among them, the thermal power plant special bridge has a total length of 1.2 kilometers, and the main bridge construction section is located in the thermal power plant area, spanning 7 strands of the running railway section, with a length of 214 meters, a width of 26 meters, and a maximum span of 100 meters, which is the wave-shaped steel web continuous box girder bridge with the most spanning iron in Hubei Province.
During the entire construction of the main bridge, the railway under the bridge could not be stopped for a day, and the train traffic was huge. The average number of trains entering and leaving the country per day reached more than 30, and a train carrying coal passed through about half an hour, which became the biggest constraint restricting the construction period of the main bridge of the special bridge of the thermal power plant.
