On the Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft allows users to switch between dark and light themes, and almost all native applications, settings, taskbar, notification center, file explorer, and more are adapted. Embarrassingly, even though some third-party applications have adapted to the global theme settings of Windows 10, Windows Search, one of the most common system components of Windows 10, still has a glare white background.

Compared to native apps like microsoft store, windows security, your phone, clock, calculator, and more, windows search has severely undermined the dark theme experience in the Windows 10 operating system.
The good news is that in order to fix this experience consistency, Microsoft seems to have finally made an update on the server side to properly enable dark mode support for the Windows 10 search component.
After actual testing of Windows latest mayank parmar, it was found that this change is being pushed to users of Windows 10 2004 / 20h2 / 21h1 and later system versions.
The entire Windows Search window, the search panel/right-click context menu, and even the web search powered by Bing are now fully supported for black backgrounds.
Regardless of the filter (Document/Settings/Picture), all search results are rendered against a dark background to match the rest of the UI, such as the Settings and Start menus.
However, compared with the latest Windows 11 operating system, the black background of the Windows 10 search component is still somewhat different, especially if it does not have a rounded corner element that is unique to Windows 11 (winui component).
Finally, if you want to enable global dark mode on windows 10 operating systems, also move to Settings -> Personalization -> Colors, and then select Dark.
