Indian white intestine virus has invaded farmed shrimp and farmers have suffered huge losses

author:China Aquatic Channel

China Aquatic Products Channel reported that in recent days, shrimp farmers in andra state of India have suffered huge losses, because the outbreak of shrimp white intestinal disease virus has greatly affected many shrimp species.

At present, the production of shrimp ponds infected with the virus is only 35-40% of the expected.

A senior official from India's Ministry of Fisheries said that the white intestine virus invaded farmed shrimp because the sanitary conditions in the ponds were too poor and the water quality was not good.

The virus attacks the shrimp at 60 days, and the infected shrimp fry will automatically stop eating, and if the producer does not take measures, the shrimp fry will die.
