King Xuan of Zhou (?) –782 BC), courtesy name Jing ,一作靖, was a native of Haojing (present-day Xi'an, Shaanxi), son of King Li of Zhou, and the eleventh monarch of Western Zhou (828–782 BC).

After King Xuan of Zhou succeeded to the throne, he politically appointed a group of sages such as Zhao Mugong, Yin Jifu, Zhongshan Fu, Cheng Boxiu, Yu Wengong, Shen Bo, Han Hou, Xianfu, Still Shu, and Zhang Zhong to assist the imperial government; militarily, with the help of the power of the princes, he appointed Nan Zhong, Zhao Mu Gong, Yin Jifu, and Fang Shu to successively attack the Fox, Xi Rong, Huaiyi, Xu Guo, and chu State, so that the national strength of Western Zhou was briefly restored, and the history is called "Xuanwang Zhongxing".

In his later years, King Xuan of Zhou suffered successive defeats in his use of foreign troops, especially at the Battle of Qianmu at Jiang Rong, the complete destruction of the division of the Southern Kingdom (the area between the present-day Yangtze River and the Han River), coupled with arbitrary behavior, non-advice, and indiscriminate killing of ministers, King Xuan's zhongxing became a short-lived one, and also laid the groundwork for the demise of Western Zhou in the zhou youwang period.
