These stunning aerial photos taken by Lain Bryant in Witsand, South Africa in August showed southern right whales frolicking in the water. The two adult whales are thought to be mating, with one juvenile staying near its mother. The photographs were taken at a height of 1.5 kilometers above the sea. Witsand, a coastal town near the mouth of the Brid River in the Western Cape, is a good fishing area and is widely regarded as an excellent whale feeding spot off the coast of South Africa.
