On February 8, local time, the main part of the Manville Hydropower Station in Cameroon, which was built by China Power Construction, passed the acceptance of the Kazakh Provisional Acceptance Committee. The acceptance is the main part of the hydropower station except for the generator set. The generator set will wait for the completion of the Manville transmission and transformation project undertaken by the Chinese enterprise, and then the acceptance and handover will be carried out uniformly.
At the acceptance site, French supervisor Chervetti led the supervision team and the members of the Kazakh owners to inspect the site, compare and eliminate them one by one according to the list of reserved items combed during the pre-acceptance. Cherveti told reporters that he has accumulated 40 years of experience in the field of hydropower engineering, and the Quality of the Manville Hydropower Station is superior.
Located in the southern region of Cameroon, the Manville Hydropower Project has a total investment of US$637 million, a total installed capacity of 211 MW, and an average annual power generation of 1187gw. h。 The project started at the end of 2012, after more than four years of unity and hard work of the project implementation team, the employees of China-Kazakh overcame a series of difficulties such as inconvenient transportation, tropical climate, dense jungle, frequent diseases, and construction in the rainy season, and the project was successfully handed over, becoming a benchmark project representative of foreign-funded enterprises in Cameroon, which attracted the attention of all sectors of society. During the construction process, the project created tens of thousands of jobs in Cameroon. After the power station is put into operation to generate electricity, in addition to meeting the local industrial and civil electricity, it can also export electricity to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, which will become another important source of electricity in the southern power grid of Cameroon, play a positive role in the construction of the southern power grid, provide a solid energy guarantee for Cameroon to achieve the development goals of newly industrialized countries, and inject strong impetus into the long-term economic and social development.
