The main acceptance of the Manville Hydropower Station in Cameroon undertaken by a Chinese enterprise

Yaoundé, 8 Feb (Xinhua) -- The main part of the Manville Hydropower Station in Cameroon, which was built by a Chinese enterprise, passed the acceptance of the Kazakh provisional acceptance committee on 8 February.

The acceptance is the main part of the hydropower station except for the generator set. The generator set will wait for the completion of the Manville transmission and transformation project undertaken by the Chinese enterprise, and then the acceptance and handover will be carried out uniformly.

At the acceptance site, French supervisor Chervetti led the supervision team and the members of the Kazakh owners to inspect the site, compare and eliminate them one by one according to the list of reserved items combed during the pre-acceptance. Cherveti told reporters that he has accumulated 40 years of experience in the field of hydropower engineering, and the Quality of the Manville Hydropower Station is superior.

The project is located in the southern region of Cameroon with a total investment of 6. $3.7 billion with a total installed capacity of 211 MW. The project started at the end of 2012 and was generally contracted by China Power Construction Group and implemented by the 16th Engineering Bureau of China Water Resources and Hydropower.

Cameroon's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Basile Atangana Kuna, told reporters that china has completed the project excellently, and the Kazakh side is grateful for this, which is another result of the long-term friendly cooperation between Kazakh and China.

China Power Construction Cameroon country representative Segger, who obtained a doctorate in China, said that the staff of China and Qatar overcame many difficulties to complete the project construction, and after the hydropower station achieved transmission, it will greatly alleviate the problem of power shortage in Cameroon.

Project manager Chen Gao said that the construction of the project has created a large number of local jobs, and the Chinese side has cultivated a group of local hydropower talents in Cameroon who understand technology and can operate through training in China, on-site teaching, and post practice.
