In order to find out the occurrence and distribution and harm of forest harmful organisms in our county at this stage, we should make a preventive plan in a timely manner, prepare for the autumn census of pine wood nematode disease, scientifically evaluate the prevention effect in 2020, and ensure the safety of forest resources in the county. From August 31 to September 8, the Forestry and Grassland Pest Prevention and Quarantine Station of the County Forestry and Grassland Bureau organized the staff of the forest farm and the management and protection station to carry out forest pest investigation operations. A detailed survey was conducted on the new countryside, Ayue Village, Changzhou Village and Dechangpo in the forest farm area of the New Republic of China.
The survey results show that the occurrence of forest pests this year will not lead to disasters, and the detection and prevention effect is remarkable. After identification by collecting specimens, it was found that there was no recurrence of forest pests such as pine caterpillars. Next, in accordance with the arrangements of the province and the state, a comprehensive autumn census of pine wood nematode disease will be carried out in our county of 94,600 mu of Yunnan pine and 18,000 mu of Huashan pine, and the prevention work will be done.
