Preparations began in September 1953 and were born in Shanghai in October 1953. The address at the time was on Big Wooden Bridge Road.

At that time, the Shangying Actors Troupe gathered a large number of well-known performing artists, such as Zhao Dan, Bai Yang, Zhang Ruifang, Shangguan Yunzhu, Sun Daolin, Qin Yi, Wang Danfeng, etc., which were the representative figures.

Zhao Dan (June 27, 1915 – October 10, 1980), a native of Yangzhou, formerly known as Zhao Feng'ao, was a famous performing artist in China. In 1962, he was selected as one of the "Twenty-two Movie Stars" in New China. He won the first prize for outstanding film from 1949 to 1955 by the Ministry of Culture for his starring role in "The Crow and the Sparrow", and won the Best Actor Award at the Century Awards of Chinese Film in 1995. Representative works: "Cross Street", "Road Angel", "Lin Zexu", "Li Shizhen", "Eternal Life in the Fire", etc.

Bai Yang (April 22, 1920 – September 18, 1996), a native of Gulun, Miluo City, Hunan Province, formerly known as Yang Chengfang, was a Performing Artist in China. In 1962, he was selected as one of the "Twenty-two Movie Stars" in New China. In 1995, she won the Chinese Film Century Award: Actress Award in commemoration of the centenary of the birth of world cinema and the 90th anniversary of the birth of Chinese cinema. Representative works: "Cross Street", "A River of Spring Water Flows East", "Blessings", etc.

Zhang Ruifang (June 15, 1918 – June 28, 2012), originally from Beijing, was born in Baoding, Hebei Province. Famous performing artist in China. In 1962, he was selected as one of the "Twenty-two Movie Stars" in New China. In 1963, she won the Best Actress Award at the 2nd Hundred Flowers Awards for Popular Films, the Outstanding Achievement Award for Chinese Films at the 10th Shanghai International Film Festival in 2007 and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 26th Golden Rooster Awards for Chinese Films. Representative works: "Li Shuangshuang", "Put Down Your Whip", "Dawn", "Baptism of Fire" and so on.

Shangguan Yunzhu (2 March 1920 – 23 November 1968) was a native of Changjing Town, Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province. His original name was Wei Junji, also known as Wei Yajun. A famous film performance artist in China. In 1962, he was selected as one of the "Twenty-two Movie Stars" in New China. Representative works: "A River of Spring Water Flows East", "Crows and Sparrows", "Beauty Walk", "Hope in the World", "Ten Thousand Family Lights", "Early Spring February", "Stage Sisters" and so on.

Sun Daolin (December 18, 1921 – December 28, 2007), formerly known as Sun Yiliang, was a famous film performance artist, director and recitation artist in China. In 1962, he was selected as one of the "Twenty-two Movie Stars" in New China. He has won many domestic and foreign film art awards. Representative works: "The Eternal Wave", "Reconnaissance of Crossing the River", "Home", "Early Spring february", "Crow and Sparrow", etc.

Qin Yi, born on February 4, 1922 in Shanghai, China, with his ancestral home in Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province, is a famous performing artist in China. In 1962, he was selected as one of the "Twenty-two Movie Stars" in New China. In 1983, she won the Outstanding Actress Award of the 1st Golden Eagle Awards of Popular Television, in 2005 she was awarded the title of National Film Artist with Outstanding Contribution, in 2009 she was awarded the Lifetime Honor Award of Shanghai Writers and Artists and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the 18th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival. In 1962, he was selected as one of the "Twenty-two Movie Stars" in New China. Representative works: "Home", "Spring", "Autumn", "New Fishing Light Song", "Qingqing Riverside Grass", "Female Barber", "Nurse's Diary", etc.

Xiang Mei (formerly known as Wu Xiangmei), born in 1937 in Beiping, is an outstanding film and television actress in China. In 1985, he became the head of the Shanghai Film Actors Troupe. In 1987, he won the Outstanding Film Performance Award of the First Literary and Art Award organized by the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Literature and Art, and the Performance Award of the China Film Performance Society. Representative works: "Women's Basketball No. 5", "Red Girl Scouts", "Blue Archives", "Piano Boy", "Journey to the West", etc.

Liang Boluo, born on December 31, 1938 in Xi'an, Shaanxi, was originally from Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, and is a famous film actor in China. In 1959, he graduated from the Acting Department of the Shanghai Theater Academy and entered the Shanghai Haiyan Film Studio as an actor. Representative works: "Little Football Team", "Soldier Station 51", "Blue File", "Midnight" and so on.

Da Shichang was born on September 26, 1940 in Shanghai, a native of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Graduated from the Acting Department of Shanghai Film College, he is an actor in the Shanghai Actors Troupe, and has won the Best Actor Award at the 4th Hundred Flowers Awards for Popular Films and the Best Actor Award at the 2nd China Television Golden Eagle Awards. Yang Zaibao, born on June 25, 1935 in Suzhou, Anhui Province, is a famous performing artist in China. Graduated from the Acting Department of the Shanghai Theater Academy in 1959, he has been an actor in the Shanghai Actors Troupe since 1965 and has won the Best Actor at the 4th Golden Rooster Awards of Chinese Cinema, the Best Actor of the 7th Hundred Flowers Awards for Popular Films, and the Best Actor at the 9th Hundred Flowers Awards for Popular Films. Representative works: "From Slave to General", "Acting Mayor", "Blood, Always Hot", etc.
