Recently, the developer of Phoenix Point released a new game concept video that introduces one of the game's three major forces, New Jericho (New Jericho, a military organization dedicated to fighting the threat of alien viruses, founded by a veteran and billionaire). New Jericho has the technology to replace limbs with machinery, as well as Gaussian weapons, flamethrowers, combat drones and heavy ground vehicles. Phoenix Point is a turn-based strategy game created by the father of UFO, the game mechanics are the same as UFO, using a sandbox world. The plot tells that in the next year, humans will discover a strange virus "Pandoravirus" in the permafrost, which can induce life on Earth to mutate. The horrific biological invasion almost destroyed the entire world, and the surviving humans formed several factions, among which the Phoenix Project aimed to restore the world, recruiting the top scientists, engineers and soldiers from all over the world.
Phoenix Point will be released on December 3, making its debut on PC and landing on Xbox One and PS4 in 2020. DLC "Blood & Titanium" will also be released in the first quarter of 2020, and there are five DLC expansion packages planned for this game.
