North Sea Gum
North Sea gum is mainly produced in South America, such as Suriname, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Guyana, Uruguay and other countries, Mexico in North America, and Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica and other countries in Central America. Many people will mistakenly think that Beihai gum comes from The Guangxi North Sea, in fact, this is just a "beautiful misunderstanding", very long ago Beihai City adjacent to the Beibu Bay is one of China's "four major fishing grounds", was once a gathering place for red-billed eels, so the previously called "Beihai glue" refers to the "red-billed eel glue" in the Beibu Gulf.
The species of North Sea fish gum mainly belong to the genus of totoaba in the family Totoaba (containing more than 20 species) and some of the genus Oftoaba. Fish in different seas vary in growing environment, species, etc., and the gum quality of fish maws is also different. Among them, the North Sea fish gum produced in the Atlantic Ocean is more "soft and young", known as the "Soft Meat North Sea", while the North Sea Gum produced in the Pacific Ocean is relatively rough and is called "Coarse Meat North Sea".
The characteristics of North Sea fish glue are as follows:
1. The colloidal head of Beihai fish glue has two "ears", which is the same as that of red-billed eel glue.
2, Beihai fish glue mostly has the distinction of "male and female". The male belly has a pair of "decree lines", and the female belly does not. The two varieties of Beihai money and yin and yang belly do not have a legal line and a "male and female" distinction.
3, North Sea fish glue does not have a "water outlet hole", red-billed eel glue has a water outlet hole.
4, the North Sea fish gum mother belly is the heaviest but more than one pound, the male belly is only about four or five two.

There are many varieties of North Sea fish glue, and the common North Sea fish glue has the following types:
(1) Suriname, Venezuela, Guyana North Sea fish glue:
Produced in the northeast of South America, adjacent to the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, it belongs to the "Soft Meat North Sea", with a clean body and superior gelatin, which is a better variety of Fish Glue in the North Sea.
(2) Brazilian North Sea:
Fish glue "ears" are slightly larger than the "ears" of the Suri North and South Seas, and the oil is slightly more than the Suri North and South Seas.
(3) Eldogua, Peru and other seas of North Sea fish glue:
It belongs to the Pacific Ocean, often referred to as the "Coarse Flesh North Sea", and its gum is relatively rough.
(4) Little North Sea:
One refers to the small size fish glue in the previous varieties, and the other refers to the fish glue produced in the Gulf of California, which is commonly known as "triangle" in the line. The small North Sea "triangle" is very small, generally no more than a few dozen grams, has two "ears", and the shape tends to be triangular.
The two "ears" of the yin and yang belly are longer, and the length ratio is higher than that of other varieties of North Sea fish glue, starting from about the middle and upper part of the colloid, and the starting point of the two "ears" of other North Sea gum is generally in the upper part. The gum of the yin and yang belly also has two obvious and transparent lines, which extend from the tail of the colloid to the "ear".
Beihai money is also called big ear money, North Sea big ear pieces. The "ear" position of Beihai money is different from other North Sea fish glue, growing in the top position of the entire fish glue head, without the distinction between male and female belly.
Double-back is a new variety developed in recent years, and the appearance is different from the mainstream North Sea fish glue. The double back adhesive is short and rounded, the "ear" is small, and the tail has a "tendon" that extends beyond the rubber head and turns into an "ear" in the head.
Whiskers have two long whiskers, the individual is generally not large, although from the South American sea, and the market generally does not call the whisker gum as North Sea fish glue.
In general, there are many titles of North Sea fish glue, such as soft meat North Sea, coarse meat North Sea, thick meat North Sea, pointed tail North Sea, headless North Sea and so on.
