Zhang Shiyu, a farmer in Hong'an, was hired by the Ministry of Agriculture as a contract painter

Farmer Zhang Shiyu was self-taught and hired by the Ministry of Agriculture as a contract painter, and the news soon spread in Hong'an. On August 18th, in Zhangyu Village, Yongjiahe Town, Hong'an County, a group of guests from the family of peasant painter Zhang Shiyu came to visit, some of whom paid special visits, some of whom observed paintings and paintings, and some of whom came to the door to help correct painting assignments.

After graduating from junior high school, Zhang Shiyu, 40 years old, has farmed at home for 5 and a half years, learned sheet metal processing technology, engaged in welding work, and worked in Hanzheng Street to manage warehouses.

Zhang Shiyu has loved to draw since childhood. By chance, he found all kinds of paints returned by others in the warehouse of Hanzheng Street Market, and began to learn to paint with pigments. However, pure self-study can not be comprehensively improved from art and theory, Zhang Shiyu, while learning from the painter Li Tiesheng, participated in the advanced training course on art theory research and calligraphy and painting creation held by the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, completed 156 hours of courses, and successfully completed the course.

Now, Zhang Shiyu's paintings are widely acclaimed, and he has also been hired by the International Exchange Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture as a contract painter, asking him to hand-paint Chinese paintings for important agricultural cultural heritage. Chinese paintings require the overall landscape of the heritage series to reflect and compensate for the compositional limitations of photographic photographs. He has a painting of grape growth, which was selected to hang in the office of the Minister of Agriculture.

This year, Zhang Shiyu has painted more than 20 paintings for the Ministry of Agriculture. Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture sent him a notice asking him to complete the 11 cultural heritage series as soon as possible.
