Li Shishi, a native of Fenjing (present-day Kaifeng, Henan), was a song girl of the Qinglou pavilion in the Northern Song Dynasty. The old monk in the temple was rubbing the roof for her, and she suddenly cried. The old monk thought that she was very similar to a Buddhist disciple, because everyone called a Buddhist disciple "Master", so she was called Wang Shishi. When Wang Shishi was four years old, his father died in prison for his sins. As a result, she was exposed to the streets, and Li Yun, who ran a brothel, saw that she was a beautiful billet, so he adopted her and changed her name to Li Shishi with his surname, and taught her piano, chess, calligraphy, painting and singing and dancing. Master Li is intelligent and agile, extremely talented in art, and can learn as soon as he learns. When he grew up, Master Li was very feminine and charming, with a variety of styles, good at singing and dancing, and proficient in poetry. What makes Li Shishi even more famous is that she met an important person in her life, Emperor Huizong of Song. Huizong was deeply attracted to her for the first time he saw Master Li, who was not only extremely beautiful in appearance, but also extremely talented. Therefore, Song Huizong often spent time with Master Li, and in order to facilitate each other, he also specially built a tunnel that led directly to Master Li's residence, which shows that Song Huizong liked Master Li.

Regarding the final outcome of Master Li, there are several theories.

According to legend, Li Shishi had a relationship with Yan Qing, the prodigal son of Liangshan good han, Yan Qing was not only a hero of the jianghu and a good man of Liangshan, but also a "wanderer", but for the sake of Liangshan's great cause, he rejected Li Shishi's feelings and worshiped Li Shishi as his sister.

There are several legends about the ending of Li Shishi, one is that after Li Shishi was captured by Jin Bing, he was unyielding and committed suicide. Second, Master Li became a nun and accompanied by the green lantern ancient Buddha, ending his life. Third, Master Li wandered into the rivers and lakes and returned to the ordinary. Fourth, after Li Shishi moved south in the Song Dynasty, he was exiled to the Huguang area, still selling singing for a living. But as people grew old, life was unsustainable, and eventually died alone.
