On August 18, at the "Second Aquatic Biological Resources Enhancement and Stocking Activity in Tumen River in Jilin Province in 2020" held at the Cannabis River Release Station in Mijiang Village, Mijiang Township, Hunchun City, 1 million fish fry on the beach were released into the Mijiang River.
At about 10 o'clock on the same day, more than 100 aquatic experts, officers and men of the garrison troops, villagers and tourists stood on the release platform and opened plastic pockets filled with oxygen to release a tail of beachhead fish into the river. Subsequently, another group of men, women and children carefully poured a basin of water full of live jumping and black pressed fry, along with the fry, into the running water.
It is reported that the beachhead fish fry released this time was provided by Yanbian Masu Cannabis Ha Aquatic Products Fine Seed Farm, passed the inspection of Jilin Provincial Aquatic Product Quality Testing Center and Jilin Provincial Aquatic Animal Quarantine Center, and was notarized on site by The Zhicheng Notary Office of Yanji City.
The beachhead fish is called the Bozaar fish, also known as the three-piece fish, and is the only fish in the cyprinaceae family that grows in the sea in the river. The fish has a spindle-shaped body, a long head, a pointed snout, and is nearly conical. In China's Tumen River and Suifen River, the beachhead fish resources have always been relatively rich, with a maximum annual output of more than 1,000 tons, and the amount of resources has dropped sharply in the past 20 years, with an output of less than 10 tons. The main reasons for this are concentrated spawning in shallow water areas, which is easy to catch; the construction of water conservancy facilities has affected the spawning migration of broodstock; and the sewage discharged by coastal factories is seriously polluted and a good ecological environment has been lost.
Zheng Wei, director of the Yanbian Prefecture Aquatic Technology Promotion Station, told reporters that the purpose of this release of beachhead fish fry is to increase the river swimming fish resources of Tumen and stabilize and enhance China's status as a "fish source country". In order to restore the rich resources of the beachhead fish in the Tumen River, the Damah Release Station of the Yanbian Prefecture Aquatic Technology Extension Station has carried out the breeding of fish fry, and every year it is necessary to release the fry to the Mijiang River, and it is planned to use 5-8 years of unremitting efforts to restore the unique economic fish of the Tumen River to their former vitality.
