So how to manage the navel orange after harvesting? The following is a compilation of some of the management points after the navel orange fruit picking, I hope to be helpful to the majority of fruit friends.
After fruit picking, spray medicine in time to prevent disease and insects. According to our usual habits, generally after the fruit picking, the tree is cut down, pruned, and these things are done first, and then the medicine is prevented, so that the cost of medication is lower, which is actually a misunderstanding. This is extremely detrimental to our prevention and treatment of yellow dragon disease.
For the control of yellow dragon disease, we advocate first preventing disease and killing insects, and then removing yellow dragon disease trees. Among the diseased trees, the most overwintering citrus psyllids are the most, and it is the right thing to do first to kill the psyllids, reduce the number of psyllids, and then remove the yellow dragon disease tree.
Clean the orchard. Collect the ground fruit, diseased insect fruit, rotten fruit, cut off the diseased branches and leaves, take them out of the orchard for destruction, and eliminate the source of overwintering diseases and insects.
Spray clearing the garden. In the case of fewer wood lice, stone sulfur compound can be used, which is now used to kill bacteria and insects, which is cheap and practical. When there are more psyllids and red spiders, a broad-spectrum insecticide is used, such as thiamethoxine, chlorpyrifos and so on
For navel oranges, the base fertilizer (organic fertilizer) is applied after fruit picking, and the fertilizer application amount accounts for 20 to 25% of the annual fertilizer application. When fertilizing, it is necessary to turn the soil deeply, mix the fertilizer and the soil together, (if it is directly fertilized in the ditch, it may cause the phenomenon of burning roots) and can be combined with lime sprinkling, prevention and control of anthrax, black spot disease, and can also adjust the pH value of the soil.
Deep application of base fertilizer can extend the root system down appropriately, which is conducive to drought resistance and water management of fruit trees.
There are two kinds of navel orange frost damage in gannan region: dry freeze and wet freeze. Dry freeze, autumn and winter long-term rainless, dry soil, is the most harmful to the tree body of a kind of frost damage, especially in the case of large temperature difference between day and night (frost weather).
1. What are the measures for pre-freeze defense?
(1) Before frost damage comes, grasp the weather conditions, properly irrigate, keep the soil moist, and reduce the occurrence of frost damage;
(2) The trunk is whitewashed to enhance the antifreeze ability of the trunk. Whitewashing is effective for small trees, but has a poor effect on large trees;
(3) Cultivate the soil in the tree tray, combined with the cultivation of the soil in the middle cultivation tree tray, improve the soil temperature, and avoid the root system from being exposed and frozen;
(4) Canopy cover, mainly shade, to prevent thawing too quickly in frost weather, damaging leaves; (small trees can be taken locally, small trees can be used to support small trees, large trees can use other sun visors, films and other antifreeze, but the film covered to noon may make the temperature too high, but also have to open, the operation is not convenient)
(5) Orchard smoke. Ignite at the lowest point, and grasp the time, generally from 2 am to 4 am, it is more difficult and the operability is not strong.
2. What are the measures for post-freeze rescue?
(1) Frost damage should be timely topdressing;
(2) Pruning should be appropriate, if the tree body is slightly frozen, the dead leaves should be removed in time, reduce the water consumption of the tree body, prevent the aggravation of frost damage, if the frost is serious, the frozen leaves can be removed, and should wait until after the beginning of spring, to be able to distinguish which parts are frozen and then pruned;
(3) In order to restore the tree momentum after freezing, the second year should be appropriately thinned, at the same time, wound protection should be carried out, timely prevention and treatment of anthrax, black spot disease (glue disease), nitricoazole / phenoxymethozole / mymetalazole and other agents can be used.
In winter, it is necessary to seize the time to do the rectification of the garden, including the repair of the ladder surface, the ditch and drainage of the orchard, and the repair and maintenance of water conservancy facilities.
