As part of desert x international contemporary art exhibition, 19 new installations were exhibited in the California desert. The second edition of the exhibition, which took place from February 9 to April 21, 2019, is free and open to the public, with the aim of "activating the desert landscape through the creation of the most renowned international contemporary artists today, with the construction of special installations and performances in 19 venues". Amanda Hunt and Matthew Schum, co-curators of this exhibition, hope to explore site specificity, post-industrial art construction, and its interactive possibilities. The 2019 exhibition includes film projects and "process-driven" works that span 50 miles of coachella valley and into Mexico.
"It is an honor to participate in the Desert x exhibition project and to see her grow, thanks to the addition of co-curators Amanda Hunt and Matthew Schum; the scale of the exhibition extends south to salton sea and into Mexico; it further explores a variety of ecological, environmental and social issues to find the role we should play in today's world."
