Grey-flaunted grebe, encyclopedic knowledge, one of the Chinese thrush family

The grey-flanked grebe (scientific name: Garrulax caerulatus) has black hairs such as forehead, eye front, eye circles, face and cheek lines; black ear feathers but white spots; tan on the top of the head, each with black ends as scales; the back is also tan, and the upper tail feathers turn brownish-olive; the surface of the wings is the same color as the back, but it is more distinct and dark; several primary flight feathers on the outside are brownish yellow and black brown on the inside; the central tail feathers are dark brown on the outside and slightly darker on the outside; and the outer tail feathers are dark brown and the outer tail feathers are dark brown, and the outer tail feathers are dark brown and the outer tail feathers are dark brown. The chin is black; the two sides are dark gray; the remainder of the lower body is white with some gray. The iris is brownish red, the mouth is black brown, the feet and toes are yellowish brown, and the claws are yellower

It is found occasionally in southeastern Tibet (caerulatus) and rarely found in the latifrons of the Nu-Lancang River watershed (latifrons) in Yunnan at an altitude of 1500 to 2700 meters. The eastern section of the Himalayas extends to southwestern China, southeastern Tibet, and northern Myanmar.
