Protrusion-backed rhinoceros turtle
A generation occurs every year, from late April to November is the adult stage, and the peak period of adult infestation sugarcane is from mid-April to June, when the density of insects in the field exceeds 15 heads/m², which seriously affects the later growth of sugarcane.

Light-backed rhinoceros turtle
Occurs with the protrusion rhinoceros golden turtle, and the number of adult insects in May and June is 2/3 less than that of the protrusion rhinoceros golden turtle; After September, it is 2/3 more than the protrusion rhinoceros turtle, and the adult lifespan is about three months more than the protrusion rhinoceros turtle.

Big-headed golden turtle
Distributed in Guangxi and other places, a generation occurs once a year, adult insects are distributed around the roots of sugarcane 3-year-old larvae overwintering, late March to early April began to excavate activities, the peak period is mid-to-late April to late May, the larval pest period is 6-9 months, the seriously damaged plants often reach 100%, the root system of the plant is almost sucked out, the cane stems and leaves are bitten into holes, resulting in sugarcane water loss and wilting and premature aging.
Sugarcane green golden turtle
Also known as Taiwan bronze golden turtle, distributed in Guangxi, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Taiwan and other places, a generation occurs once a year, pupate in February to April, adult in April to October, may to July for the peak period, larvae for sugarcane underground roots, stems, cane buds, resulting in weak growth of sugarcane.
Dark gill golden turtle
It occurs once a year, from mid-March to mid-April, and the three instar larvae after wintering are infested cane and cane seedlings. From late August to late September, the peak of the pest is for 2nd and 3rd instar larvae, and the damage to severely damaged cane fields can reach more than 60%.
Patina Golden Turtle
A generation occurs every year, the adult insects eat a large amount, often eat the hermit leaves, the larvae are harmful to the underground part of sugarcane, bite the roots of cane, cane heads, and moth the underground stems of sugarcane into holes, affecting the later growth of sugarcane.
Dark green golden turtle
Mixed with the patina tortoise, the two are also relatively similar in morphology, occurring in Nanning once a year, the adult insects appear in April to October, with May to July as the most prevalent.
Chestnut and other gill turtles
Distributed in Guangxi, Hainan, northern Vietnam, in Guangxi chestnut and other gill turtles for the Baise to Debao generation of dominant species, late April to mid-May feathered adults, larvae appear in July, September to November for the larvae as the peak of pests, October to November is the most serious, severe when the larvae per hectare of sugarcane land can reach millions, the cane head is all bitten up.
Ovate gill golden turtle
Mainly distributed in South China and other places, a generation occurs once a year, in May 1 instar larvae appear to absorb soil organic matter, 6-7 months 2nd and 3rd instar larvae began to nibble on sugarcane underground rhizomes, affecting sugarcane growth.
Broad-toothed clawed gill turtle
A generation occurs every two years, and from late April to early May, adult insects appear in large numbers, hiding in the soil layer during the day, crawling out at dusk to feed on cane leaves, and appearing as a peak of harm.
South China's great black gill golden turtle
It occurs once a year, the overwintering adults begin to appear in mid-February, March and April is the peak period of excavation, with phototropism, and begin to move in the evening, nibbling on cane leaves to cause the leaves to wither and yellow, and larvae nibble on the cane head and rhizome.
Middle-beaked golden turtle
Distributed in Guangxi and other places, two generations occur every year, the first generation of adult insects bloom in April and June, the main generation is harmful, and the second generation of adult insects appears in August and September.
Sift gill turtles
It occurs once a year, mainly eating sugarcane leaves, and from early March to early April, adult insects begin to appear, which is harmful to sugarcane until November.
Coconut-studded rhinoceros turtle
A generation occurs once a year, the adult stage can reach several months or even half a year, the ability to fly is strong, generally choose sugarcane heart leaves as a pest, bite the heart leaves and leaves, suck the cane liquid, affect the growth of sugarcane.
Cane turtle control measures
Agricultural control
First, reasonable crop rotation: the implementation of water and drought rotation, or with cotton, sesame, rapeseed, hemp and other straight root crops rotation.
Second, deep ploughing ploughing: after the sugarcane harvest, the cane field is deeply ploughed, sunburned, and mechanically damaged larvae.
Third, irrigation of cane fields: at the peak of adult insect pests, water is diverted to soak the fields, and adult insects float on the surface of the water, and fishing and killing.
Pharmaceutical control

<col>
(1) Medication in the adult stage: (1) Root irrigation with medicine: At the peak of adult excavation, use 50% octyl thiophosphorus emulsion oil 7.5-11.25kg/mu to spray the base of cane seedlings with water. (2) Granule: 7 to 15 days before the adult insects are unearthed, 3% of the granules are culled 75 to 90kg/mu on the base of the cane seedlings, and then thinly covered with soil.
(2) Medication in the larval stage. In early to mid-September, when grubs are in the first instar larval stage, they are given in combination with pre-rain or immediately after rain.
(1) Chemical treatment during the sowing period: soak the seeds with 48% chlorpyrifos emulsion 500 times solution for 3-5 minutes when planting.
(2) Large soil cultivation period: When cultivating soil from May to June, the above agent is applied around the base of sugarcane and then cultivated in the soil.
(1) Spray with 50% octylthion emulsion 1000-1500 times liquid.
(2) Large soil cultivation period: From May to July, when cultivating soil, 5% chlorpyrifos granules are used to 60kg/mu, and the method of post-application is used to spread around the roots of sugarcane, and then cultivate soil.
(1) When planting sugarcane, 60kg/mu of chlorpyrifos granules are used to sprinkle on sugarcane planting ditches.
(2) When cultivating soil: for the cane field with a large insect population density, apply it again.
Gill turtle with the big head mold
(1) Larval stage: 3% culling of 25kg/mu is sprinkled on the base of cane seedlings with 3% when cultivating soil, and then cultivated soil.
(2) Adult stage: Spray the leaves with 48% chlorpyrifos emulsion 500 times solution.
(1) Adult insect excavation period: spray 48% Lesben emulsion 1500 times solution to the head of the cane with a high-pressure sprayer, spray once in 7-10 days at the peak, and spray 2-3 times continuously.
(2) Larval stage: 3% culling of 75kg/mu of Weile after sprinkling in cane ditches and cultivating soil.
(1) Adult stage: spray 48% Lesben emulsion 1500 times solution.
(2) Large soil cultivation period: 60kg/mu of chlorpyrifos granules are used to spread around the roots of sugarcane after soil cultivation.
(1) In the adult stage, the drug is sprayed with 50% octylthion emulsion 1000-1500 times liquid.
(2) At the larval stage, 3% furandan granules are used 60 kg/mu at the next planting stage, and the soil is covered after application to the roots. Fertilize again when cultivating soil.
(1) From March to June, use 6 parts of sugar, 3 parts of vinegar, 1 part of white wine, 10 parts of water, and 1 part of 90% of the insects to trap the adult insects.
(2) When planting sugarcane, 60kg/mu of 5% chlorpyrifos granules are sprinkled on the sugarcane planting ditch. Apply it again when cultivating the soil.
(1) In the adult stage, the drug was sprayed with 75% octyl thiophosphorus emulsion 2000 times liquid.
