Guizhou Libo will hold an exhibition of Triassic paleontological fossils

Recently, the author learned from the preparatory meeting of the Guizhou Triassic Paleontology Fossils Special Exhibition that Libo County will hold the "Into the Ancient Ocean - Guizhou Triassic Paleontological Fossils Special Exhibition" on August 16. It is reported that more than 40 paleontological fossils that have never been seen will be exhibited at that time, and these fossils will be provided free of charge by Huang Weiguang, a Chinese-American expert on paleontological fossils.

This exhibition selects triassic paleontological fossil specimens from 230 million years ago, mainly "dragon" fossils, including precious fossil specimens such as Chinese dragon, sea dragon, Zhou's Qianfin dragon and sea lily, one of which is 24 meters long, 5 meters high, and covers an area of 120 square meters, which is one of the largest sea lily fossils in the world. All exhibits are now in place.

After the exhibition, all the exhibits will be permanently preserved in Libo County. Libo County will use this resource to build a Triassic Paleontological Fossil Museum covering an area of 20,000 square meters.
