New seedling cultivation period from May to June
Everyone does not know that the old roots of chrysanthemums do not exert force, so every year we must start cultivating from new seedlings. So where do the new seedlings come from? The new seedlings are cut and grafted from the foot buds that grew on the side of the old root of the previous year. The cycle of life is so magical.
From May to June, it is a good time for chrysanthemum cuttings and grafting. The new seedlings after cuttings are still relatively weak, look a little sloppy, and need to be carefully served. Can not be dehydrated, nor can it accumulate water, the sun is too large to be moderately shaded. It takes about 20 days from cutting to rooting, and when new leaves emerge, it means that you are alive!
July-August thriving growth period
From July to August, as soon as the momentum eased up, we had to change to a big house to live in (change pots and plant independently). This stage is our growth period and requires a full range of careful care of soil, fertilizer, water, medicine and so on. Potting soil should be loose and breathable, nutrient soil + organic fertilizer is a good choice, adding an appropriate amount of rice bran can increase soil permeability, economical and affordable. We don't like water very much, but we can't do without water. At this stage, when watering us, proper thin fertilizer and diligent application can help us grow stronger.
