On December 25, it was learned from the Management and Conservation Bureau of Dehong Tongbiguan Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province that in recent years, Dehong has discovered a number of newly recorded species in terms of animals.

Seven new reptile species, such as Yingjiang Palm Toad, Purple Palm Toad, Yingjiang Two-Headed Snake, Yingjiang Bamboo Leaf Green, and Tongbiguan Spiny Lizard, were discovered, and 1 new primate species of Tianxing Gibbon and Gaoligong White-browed Gibbon were discovered.
Dehong is located in the southwest border of the motherland, is the only tropical area belonging to the Irrawaddy River basin in China, and is the closest area to the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean and the most affected by the southwest monsoon. Regional ecosystems are diverse in types, rich in flora and fauna, and intermingled with alpine valleys and basins, forming a multitude of habitat types spanning tropical to temperate zones. The highest altitude in the whole state is 3404.6m, the lowest altitude is 210m, the vertical height difference is 3194.6m, and the ecological vertical distribution zone is obvious. There are 6033 species of higher plants in 339 families and 1908 genera, and 998 species of terrestrial aquatic animals are distributed, including 118 species of mammals, 712 species of birds, 114 species of two climbs, and 56 species of fish.
