1. Introduction of the Department of School of Agriculture and Biology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University
The Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Agriculture and Biology is a second-level college of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a joint university of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China.
At the end of the 1950s, the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee made a decision to establish Shanghai Agricultural College (the predecessor of the College of Agriculture and Biology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University), and in 1959 established Shanghai Agricultural College, located in the north of Songjiang County (now Songjiang District), which was the first higher agricultural college in the history of Shanghai to be sponsored by a local government; in 1960, it was listed as a key university in Shanghai; in August 1963, Shanghai Agricultural College was discontinued; in October 1978, Shanghai Agricultural College was restored and rebuilt in Qibao, Shanghai County (now part of Minhang District). In September 1999, Shanghai Agricultural College was merged into Shanghai Jiao Tong University to establish the College of Agriculture of Shanghai Jiao Tong University; in March 2002, it was renamed the College of Agriculture and Biology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University; since July 2007, the main body of the college has been transferred from Qibao Campus to Minhang Campus; in May 2009, it has entered the ranks of eight agricultural colleges and universities involved in the country jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture.

Admission Principles
1. The college is sorted according to the total score of the preliminary examination and the re-examination (the total score is the same, sorted by the total score of the preliminary examination, from high score to low score), and the merit is selected according to the first optional voluntary admission, and reported to the Graduate School after the announcement on the college website.
