This year's film and television industry situation is not ideal. Many of the films we look forward to releasing in 2020 include Mia Hansen-Love's Bergman Island, which remains to be confirmed.

In addition, due to the small number of festival events, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the 93rd Academy Awards in 2021 will be postponed from February 28 to April 25. The Academy also postponed the film's eligibility period from December 31 to February 28 of the following year.

"For more than a century, cinema has played an important role in comforting, inspiring and entertaining in its darkest times, and this year will be the same." Oscar Chairman David Rubin and CEO Dane Hudson said in a joint statement on the 15th, "We hope to give filmmakers the flexibility they need to complete and distribute the film by extending the qualification period and the award date, so that they will not be punished for something that no one can control." ”

For theaters resuming work in other countries, early success is a positive sign that the theater business will rebound rapidly. Here, there are also some movies and TV shows that we hope to see soon.

The new film, directed by Family Feast (1998) and Away from the Hustle (2015), also known as "Another Round," tells the story of a group of friends who conduct a dangerous drinking experiment. The men, all teachers, are testing the hypothesis that their lives would be better if their blood alcohol levels were consistent. No, it's not zero.

David Lynch's 1984 film adaptation of the same name and another stalled film from the early 21st century brought Villeneuve to the stage to challenge Frank Herbert's epic masterpiece, the world's best-selling science fiction novel.

The early images show a gloomy spectacle – a spectacle that we will be able to experience in imax and 3D this Christmas.

The Polish director, who directed The Name (2013), is his debut English film, an allegory of revenge with an ingenious plot.

Following in Hitchcock's footsteps, it's easy for us to say it. Ben Vitley may feel a bit like "Mrs de Winter" with so much to do.

Still, the cast from daphne du maurier's novel is strong (Lily James, Armie Hammer, and Kristin Scott Thomas): When it hits Netflix, we'll judge for ourselves.

Glass's first film premiered at last year's BFI London Film Festival and received huge acclaim. It's a religious horror film featuring Morfield Clark as a wounded nurse Maud who is caring for a dying dancer, Amanda (Jennifer Ellie).

The relationship between the two women grew increasingly strained: Amanda was open-minded, tolerant, and Maud Puritan-style repressive.
