Lithuanian giants Sargilis have officially announced that the team has signed New Zealand player Ty Webster and replaced former NBA player Emanuel Mudiel with him.
Mudiel had just joined the Lithuanian giants in the offseason, but it was clear that his performance did not live up to expectations. He has made six appearances in the Lithuanian League this season, averaging 12.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, shooting just 35.8 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three-point range. In the Euroleague, he performed even worse. He made five appearances and averaged just 7.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, shooting 32.5 percent from the field and 23.1 percent from three-point range. What's more, Sargilis has so far won the Euroleague and is in a terrible state.
He thought that Mudiel could show his scoring ability and defensive ability in Europe, but he did not expect that the weakness of his poor shooting ability was further magnified in Europe.
