After experiencing a bleak reality full of zombies last week, marvel's sixth episode of "What Ifs... What if the Killer saves Tony Stark? "As scheduled, this issue takes us back to the earliest stages of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When Tony Stark is attacked, supervillain Eric Kermungo appears in time to save him. Tony appointed Kermungostak to an industrial position and helped him develop a dangerous new drone prototype, only to discover that the soldier was simply using him to return to Wakanda and seize power, too late.
Without the traumatic past of being kidnapped, Tony would not have experienced the dramatic changes that became a hero, which led to Tony's untimely death. Not only that, but The murder of his cousin T'Challa was indeed a shocking moment. With the help of Stark Industries, Kermango eventually managed to reach the top of Wakanda's political class. 1. The beginning of this episode perfectly recreates the opening scene of "Iron Man", showing Tony and a soldier interacting in a military transport vehicle. Dialogue, V gestures and iconic selfie photos are all included.
2. In Iron Man, When Tony goes into hiding, the scene where a bomb from Stark Industries lands near him also appears in this episode.
3) One obvious difference between this episode and the beginning of Iron Man is that the song played in the car is no longer AC/DC's "Back In Black".
4) In this universe, Kermungo saves Tony before he is kidnapped by the Ten Rings, and Ross mentions Kermungo's time in Afghanistan in Black Panther.
5) This is a very obvious detail, including the iconic Avengers combination in The Avengers and Tony's heroic deeds in Avengers: Endgame.
6) In this timeline, Kermungo took Hapi's position. Happi said to Pepper, "That should be my chance to be promoted." In Iron Man 3, Happi was given the position of Minister of Security, which allowed him to spy on Dr. Kirian.

9. After Stanley's plot is revealed, Happi activates bodyguard mode, and a right hook punch knocks him down. This scene echoes Happi's boxing career before the MCU, which is also his backstory in Marvel Comic Book. The plot also references Happi's skills in the ring.
10) Killmonger was not satisfied with Hapi's position, and after Stanley was fired, he gladly accepted Tony's offer and became his new COO. Little Pepper overheard it, like Hapi, wasn't particularly happy. It's a nod to Iron Man 2, where Pepper became CEO of Stark Industries. Because in this universe, Tony is not Iron Man and can still focus on the company and doesn't need a new CEO.
11 Roddy talks about Kermungo as a member of an elite force specializing in assassinations, which is exactly what Ross describes in Black Panther.

23. Following The plot of Kermungo, the gold-shaking deal between Ulysses Crowe and Roddy is interrupted by the arrival of the Black Panther. Killmonger takes the opportunity to kill his cousin Black Panther, and the weapon he uses is the Sonic Taser. In Iron Man, Steiny tortures Tony with this weapon. However, the version used by Kermunger is clearly more lethal.
24 Tony uses Jarvis's holographic technique to replay the assassination process, proving that Kermungo betrayed him. Iron Man 3 uses the same technique to recreate the crime scene of a theater bombing.

This is a response to the assassination incident earlier in the series, where Tony realizes that the killer killed Roddy and T'Challa because of Jarvis's footage.
28 General Ross is the face of the military, and he requisitioned Stark Industries' technology against Wakanda, which is exactly what Tony prevented in Iron Man 2. When Tony was called in for a government hearing, he refused to give up his know-how for military use. Roddy eventually got the War Machine suit, but with the two of them gone, Rose did as he pleased.
29 As in Black Panther, Kermungo carried Crow's body into Wakanda as a sign of peace.
30 After entering Wakanda, you can see The tattoo of Kermungo. This tattoo also appears in Black Panther.
31. In his meeting with King T'Chaka, Kirmango referred to watching the sunset at Mount Basanga. In Black Panther, Mount Basanga is the place where meteorites fell, filled with vibranium, and Kermungo went there to watch the sunset before he died.
Mount Bassinger is named after the original Panther.
32. Queen La Munda is the leader of Wakanda's forces against drones sent by the U.S. military. This is not an echo of her character in the comics, but more likely a tribute to the origins of the dora's guardian history in the comics.
While the Dora Guards are elite warriors in the comics and movies, they were originally seen as potential wives for the future King of Wakanda.
33 When Kermungo sees T'Challa, T'Challa wears a white ceremonial suit, a scene that also appears in Black Panther.
34 In this universe, Tony never became Iron Man or helped form the Avengers, but his unfinished fate is mentioned in this poster, which tells the public that only they can avenge Tony's death. Tony had promised that if he couldn't save the world, he would certainly avenge the world; now his colleagues are now demanding that the public avenge him.
