Lishui, January 19 (Trainee reporter Hu Dingyu) "As one of the 32 priority areas for land biodiversity conservation in China, Lishui has a very rich ecosystem type, the species diversity ranks first in Zhejiang Province, and is an important ecological security barrier in East China. Therefore, it is the unshirkable responsibility of Lishui to do a good job in biodiversity conservation. Lei Jinsong, director of the Ecological and Environmental Bureau of Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, said.
On the 19th, the Lishui Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment held a press conference to release the phased results of the Lishui Biodiversity Background Survey (Phase I). It is reported that in this survey, a total of 2014 species of higher plants, 429 species of vertebrates, 1100 species of terrestrial insects and 407 species of macrofungi were found in Lishui City. Among them, the investigation team found 64 new record species of macrofungal species in China, 263 new record species in Zhejiang Province, and found a new species of amphibian horned toad family, named Baishan ancestral horned toad.

Hu Yaping, an assistant researcher at the Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, said: "The brown-edged mushroom was the first new recorded species of large fungi in China that we identified during the investigation, and at that time we suspected that it was a new species, and we took it back to the laboratory for indoor identification before confirming that it was distributed in Europe and the United States." ”
Hu Yaping said that at present, China's understanding and research on the species and resources of the genus mushroom is not deep, and the discovery of this species has added a new record to the genus Mushroom in China, and at the same time provides a basis for finding its traces again in the temperate region north of the subtropical region of China.
In addition, after investigation, in Lishui City, the populations of black chamois, yellow-bellied horned pheasants and other species of national first-class protected animals have been restored, and they are also distributed outside the nature reserve; rare species such as black bears, ocelots, crab-eating badgers have been investigated one after another, and the populations of crowned finches and brown-bellied great fairy birds are stable in the only distribution point in Zhejiang - Baishanzu National Park.
Dr. Wu Yi of the Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment introduced that the background survey of biodiversity covers the whole area of Lishui City (1 district, 7 counties and 1 city), and the key survey areas include various nature reserves at all levels and ecological protection redline areas, and the survey objects cover the main biological taxa of Lishui City.

"This survey covers content such as macromygi, invasive alien species, traditional knowledge and other contents that have not been frequently covered by similar surveys in the past, and it can be said that the breadth of the survey reflects the integrity of biodiversity conservation objects." Wu Yi said.
"Biodiversity conservation is an important and advanced stage in the construction of ecological civilization, and it is also an important guarantee to ensure that the people enjoy a good quality of the ecological environment and improve their sense of happiness." Lei Jinsong said that at present, the "Development Plan for Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Use in Lishui City (2020-2035)" has been prepared and released. In the future, the local government will take this as a model, from the aspects of finding out the family background, improving the level of supervision and system protection, paying attention to system leadership, carrying out demonstrations, and promoting sustainable use, etc., to build Lishui into a model for biodiversity conservation and a "national biodiversity conservation leading area", and achieve the goal of "building a beautiful home for the harmony of all things".
It is reported that Lishui City is located in the southwest of Zhejiang, there are 3573 peaks above 1000 meters above sea level, the forest coverage rate is 81.7%, and the ecological environment status index ranks first in Zhejiang Province for 17 consecutive years. At present, Lishui has 2 national and 4 zhejiang provincial nature reserves, and is one of the 32 priority areas for terrestrial biodiversity conservation in China. (End)
