The exhibition also harvested full of love, and the "Cloud Experiences Complement Love Bookshelf" project received nearly 10,000 yuan worth of donated books, all of which will be donated to rural primary schools. The "Original Derivatives of Experience" project raised nearly 20,000 yuan, all of which will be used for Dunhuang protection public welfare projects.

"I am very pleased that Dunhuang culture has been passed on to this 'cloud' in Shanghai," said Yang Xiuqing, chairman of the Dunhuang Grottoes Conservation Foundation, at the closing ceremony. In the 36 days from December 15, 2019 to January 19, 2020, the "West Meets Zhimei | Dunhuang" public welfare exhibition focused on the essence of the three seasons of the "West Meets Zhimei | Dunhuang" public welfare project, which was jointly initiated by the Orient Securities Experience Enhancement Public Welfare Foundation, Dunhuang Research Institute and the First Financial Charity Foundation, aiming to protect and inherit Dunhuang culture with new media and other digital methods, while passing on the precious oriental spirit.

The "Mogao Xiaguang", "Gentle Backbone" and "Spirit of Yulin" sections of the exhibition focus on the clay plate paintings and documentaries with the theme of "Mogao Xiaguang", three exquisite neon dresses inspired by the spirit of Dunhuang and the ancient pictures of the seventeen caves of Yulin Grottoes.

Among them, "Mo Gao XiaGuang" is taken from the light that inspired Le Qiao to open the cave, and the countless excavations that followed condensed a powerful spiritual force. "Mo Gao XiaGuang" tells the story of xuanzang, a senior monk of the Tang Dynasty, on his way west. During the Tang Dynasty, the 28-year-old Xuanzang set out from Chang'an in search of the truth of his faith, traveled all the way west, out of Yumen Pass in the west, and came to Mohe Yan moraine. Eight hundred miles of Mohe yan moraine, no birds on the top, no beasts on the bottom, the wind and sand cover the sun, only the dry bones indicate the way. Halfway drinking water accidentally lost, Xuanzang four days and five nights dripping water did not enter, but with an incomparably tenacious will, to overcome the fear in his heart, beyond the limits of the body, and finally out of mohe Yan Moraine. "Mogao Xiaguang" shows the whole team stationed at the foot of Dunhuang Mingsha Mountain, using the soil of the Daquan River of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes and the sand of Mingsha Mountain, according to the ancient method of three sands, six soils and one ash, using exactly the same way as the Dunhuang mural wall to make a piece of clay plate, with the same mineral pigments and the same painting style as the Tang Dynasty murals to make the Dunhuang murals present in the contemporary era. It took 9 months, 270 days and nights, and 30 painters drew 2,000 clay tablets, which condensed into a 420-second "Mo Gao Xiaguang" documentary. This is the ingenuity of contemporary Dunhuang, and it is also a tribute to the unknown painters who have been creeping in the cave day and night to paint.

According to the organizers, the second season of the "West Meets Zhimei | Dunhuang" public welfare project has entered the restorers and copyists of the Dunhuang Research Institute. They moved and inspired contemporary designers with their vivid spirit of copying and restoring the cave, and designed a series of neon dresses in this exhibition, three of which are exhibited in this exhibition.

When it comes to Dunhuang, people always think only of the Mogao Grottoes, in fact, yulin grottoes are also a treasure. In the section "Spirit of Yulin", the exquisite pictures of the seventeen caves of Yulin Cave are exhibited. The status of the Dunhuang Grottoes not only comes from its huge size and stunning posture, but also from its outstanding academic status. Taking the Yulin Grottoes, the "Sister Cave of Mogao Grottoes", as an example, the docent recounts the three-dimensional works in contemporary language, telling the audience the ancient and glorious historical story.
